When I heard Woodland in the new album I had to come back and watch again. Thanks for creating this amazing film

Wow. This was wonderful. To make such a purposeful, thematically resonant piece for this challenge is not easy. Collin, you’re a great storyteller, but in your words and in your editing. You guys did a fantastic job. I hope Woodland is okay too and I hope that for everyone. Thanks for making this!

This is incredible, truly. You are amazingly talented. Everything about this brought me to tears. It’s crazy how individual this story is but somehow so many people in these comments can relate and I’m sure many others do. You are an amazing story teller with your songs and just your voice. I truly couldn’t put everything into words but one that sums it up perfectly is incredible. Thank you for this.

I was glued to the screen right away, and I was caught off guard when I realized it was almost over, those 40 minutes went quick. This is such a special story, it's the kind of thing somebody makes up and makes into a book or something. We all hope Woodland is doing better out there somewhere.

The story was compelling and the central idea of people feeling alone and trying to find a connection is very relatable. I liked how unique the structure of this movie was and enjoyed the songs

Damn that was amazing. An award well deserved. Honest to god I'd pay to watch this in theatres, or like sundance, whatever the movie thing is.

Wow. What an amazing movie- this is quality storytelling. I really like how you include the personal interactions with people in the background, it made it feel a lot more personable! I think comfort level has a lot to do with your willingness to meet people and have a ‘happy life’ meeting people. A lot of that goes into how much you are willing to conform to other people’s lifestyles. Some people are fine with living into the shell of other peoples’ lives; so even those that wish to live 100% true to themselves (like your friend Sam) can still find friendship in those that are “100% go with the flow” personalities.

Right I'm late I suppose but honest answer to why people laugh at "Dark Side of Adult". Honestly my first reaction was to laugh at some parts myself; "Alison said, 'it's been awhile since I saw you,' and her hand came up and touched my shoulder and the back of my head exploded" is such a perfect line, cuz that's it, isn't it, that's exactly what it is. It's laughter less in "oh this is hilarious/mockable" and more in "oh yeah, that's the perfect way to phrase it". Plus I love the winding, sort of pressed(?) way it's delivered, I'm serious when I say it's really a perfect line. That song (and fully honest most of your songs) are littered with sharp moments like that. The whole song, really, evokes awkward moments in a similar vein, of being young, of being inexperienced. Its almost playful in tune, and even juxaposed with the darker pieces about current feelings, its still so youthful sounding that its deeply nostalgic. Like telling childhood stories with friends. I think I'm running a bit long on my time to ramble about how much I like something though. In essentially; I like this song (and more broadly; your music) a lot.

One of the first songs I fell in love with from you was "The Dark Side of Adult" because I too finished high school in 2020 and departed what I had left of adolescence. To me, it's a bitter sweet tune of fond memories that will be hard to relive. I have no idea why, but I keep coming back to that song on a near-weekly basis to sing along or just listen to. I'm very glad you put that song out. This documentary also echos the same helplessness you feel when growing up, but in this case, being in a situation where you want to help someone but you can't. There is no sweet to this story, or at least not as much as the song, but the bitter is much stronger. I cannot fathom the feeling of seeing those missed calls. Your song at the end is a beautiful send off to this documentary and to your story with Woodland. I hope she too finds peace wherever she is now.

its so monotone not knowing how someone is doing due to you not seeing them, if they are doing bad youd want to help them but if they are doing well then youre happy but kinda feel like you are missing out. like some weird show youve been watching ever so often that ends on a happy ending abruptly..

I'm glad I had the time to sit down and watch this with full attention. I just wish I could have done it sooner. This was a fantastic doc. Well filmed, well edited, well told. I was hooked the entire time. I'm still hooked. I don't want this story to be over, I doubt you do too, and hopefully it isn't.

I started watching your content back when you released meet the personalities and feel that the music and content you have posted has always had an effect on my way of thought, whether it be for just that day or longer. With that said I feel that this movie has already affected me for the better, even if I don't know in what way exactly. Either way I very much enjoyed your movie and hope you keep making things that leave an impact on not only me but others as well. Hope you have a great day and more.
