Awesome project. I think if the masses in general got back to nature, spent more time in our natural state rather than in the artificial poisonous lives we forced to live in society, there would be less people having to deal with drug and alcohol problems in the first place. Great channel, love the road kill videos. Cheers Andy

you rock .wood carving hunting fishing gave me a way out from my alcohol and drug problem. and you are so right the outdoors is not a male or female place it's a people place . letting the person find there own way through the maze of drug and alcohol abuse is the key to a really successful and solid way out . hat off to the work your doing .and all the best

Good idea. There's a similar thing with fly fishing and women recovering from breast cancer. It's also refreshing to see that building a den, (as we did as kids) doesn't make it a "survival shelter" and camping in the woods isn't, "surviving"!

4:38 Correct, they are simple. However, that fire is pretty sad. You're either using green wood or you don't have nearly enough air getting to it. You need air coming in to the fire from underneath, not fanning it from the top and making an awful mess.

Way to be 'that' guy. Utterly patronising, redundant and faux helpful.

A good concept but surely in a first world country/developed society we can see past gender and provide places like this for this for both Women AND Men who are EQUALLY dependant on alcohol and drugs! Everyone deserves help regardless of whats in their pants! A handful of inspiring women of the past didn't fight for equality to be superior to or have more privileges than men but to be equal to them for a balanced society!

+D Pictures Are you saying that England has NO similar programs for males?
@07thomasdd9 жыл бұрын
Elice Quillinane Can you read? I never stated that once! However if there is any similar programmes for males than they certainly aren't being appreciated in this video! My original comment is just to bring up the issue of gender inequality in terms of substance abuse victims! Quite often there are schemes which are just for Women or just for Men! Well enough is enough! We are all people regardless of what lies beneath our underwear! Surely we can see past gender and help all people and not exclude groups of people from different schemes and programmes which could really change their lives! Thats what its all about in the end! Changing a life Weather its male or female! In fact there is some almost anti male language in this video such as "oh theres nothing macho about it". I ask you; since when did men disallow women to create fires and do bushcraft in woodlands let alone label these things as being "macho"? We didn't, in fact its probably a female stereotype of males which has created that silly kind of mindset! Or how about the part where they basically say that women are excluded from outdoor activities because as they say they are more traditionally male activities! This is just a lie if you ask me! And please lets get it right! Im sure you meant to say The United Kingdom! There are more provinces to this country than just England! Lets not exclude our fellow countrymen and women for not being English!!

D Pictures Since I wrote a response to the written word, I should think it's patently obvious that I can read. I understood your "what-about-me?!" intention and I agree that many males have emotional and addiction issues. However, given that many women are struggling with issues CAUSED by males, they need male-free (= SAFE) environments. That includes safety from males who look at programs involving women and immediately shift into childish MRA-mode. I wrote "England" because the video was made in England, but I doubt matters are any better in the rest or the UK.

+D Pictures Doesn't look like you're getting past gender, mate. How does it harm you or men's recovery if a few women want to meet in the woods?

+Ben Silver Seems to me that equality means being able to do your own thing. Men in the woods, both in the woods, women in the woods. Since when does equality mean obligatory co-ed? Getting away with the guys has a different chemistry.
