Thank you for helping my brother in law and I mill our families beloved tree. You were a pleasure to work with and I hope we get to do this again soon. -Dan.

You are very welcome Dan, even the small projects are fun and we are happy to be a part of the "Story of the tree" for your family!!! Life is all about stories and memories man! Just make sure you let me know how this story plays out and what kind of items you make for the family! When it comes time to build something let me know, we can get those slabs flat in a hurry to help get your build going...

You're pretty sweet with those forks. Your videos are great! I've started from the beginning and think this channel will soon take off. Best of luck!

We have alot of time in the seat with our skidsteer. And in an effort to save our backs we have become pretty good at stacking slabs and logs using the forks... I get alot of compliments from people that we load and unload because we just don't tear up their stuff by being rough... Just one of those things we have gotten pretty good with. Thanks for watching, subscribing and the support Robert! it really does mean alot, and we plan to keep posting what we do on a regular basis! Keep letting us know what you think and things you'd like to see from us 👍

Is it hard to find a buyer for all your hard work?

Most of the time our work is commissioned pieces. We try to do pretty good work, so that helps to keep projects coming in! 😎

These Zelkova (Japanese Elm) slabs turned out pretty awesome! Has anyone ever worked with Zelkova?

Always curious about what you sawyers do with that piece from initial cut? I know a lot of guys throw them in the scrap pile. I'd love to get my hands on a few of those pieces and turn them into crafty items
@KnottHeadCustomSawingFabWorx5 жыл бұрын
Jered Wilson They do go in a big pile, some get used and some don’t, it just all depends on who’s looking for what! Bring a truck and trailer, we have multiple piles you are welcome to pick pieces from! 👍🏼

What do you use for blades on big hardwood like that
@KnottHeadCustomSawingFabWorx4 жыл бұрын
We mostly use WoodMizer Double Hard 4 degree blades on the wide bandsaw mills

Where was the engine made? I can't find any information on Kohler's site where they manufacture these 17hp diesels.
@KnottHeadCustomSawingFabWorx4 жыл бұрын
I don't know where the engine was mad at, yes it was a Kohler 18HP and we had no issues with it while we had this machine, but have since gotten another mill and this one has moved on to another sawyer...
