It is great for repeatable accurate cuts, but you can’t break down four sheets of plywood without the additional support piece for the table. Even then it will only fit under the track width wise. I’m getting ready to build Paoson’s mobile workbench for my Dewalt tablesaw and will have to find a different way to break down the plywood as most pieces are too long to cut on the Craig project table. So it’s nice but only for 1/2 sheet size projects

I'm one of the suckers that bought the Woodpeckers track squares. To be fair, it was quite awhile ago and I don't think TSO had released theirs yet (or at least it wasn't as popular as it is now and never revealed itself to me). The Woodpeckers square is nice, but TBH I've never used it other than 90 degrees. Also, I find it annoying that the geometry of the pointer that fits in the v-grooves to lock the angle is such that bumping it can slightly cause the pointer to back out, resulting in a non-perfect cut. Ask me how I know. I have gotten in the habit of pressing that pointer into the notch before each cut to make sure that it's seated. I can live with it, but especially for the price, I wish the TSO was available (or I had known about it) when I purchased the red one.

I also thought about getting one of the Woodpeckers track squares which is why I have two of the TSOs instead. TSO products have become their own addiction. I use their parallel guide system on the regular. Ditto on the DBF-45 BigFoot. Bench dogs…track extension…UJK Parf Guide System…used weekly. However, I’m not proud to say that the MTR-18 Precision System Triangle Set that I sold many unused tools to buy has become a wall prop for the last six months.

I went a slightly different route. Got the Benchdog square rail for Dewalt saw/track. It's quality gear although you have to rip up some guides to make it fit. Then I wanted a parallel guide only to find that they don't make one for dewalt saws. Then I found out that my dewalt saw fits the festool track. So got the TSO sq rail and the parallel guide. Is this comment useful? Not, not really. No one cares about my blowing money on the benchdog kit (however well made it is). But i just wanted to pay my offering to the TY overlords to promote your video by typing a comment - traction, I believe they call it. LOL

So relate. Your wife's voice is the same as mine's. I even suffered as I do on most of WP's tools. i just cant figure out why you didn’t pass out over TSO’s $150 for that size of aluminum! Outrageous is the word not “boo”. i am a woodworker and not a machinest. ill solve the problem and i wont look cool unless i get lucky with laminate or stain to compensate for my unpopular financial judgement. Dang, WP and TSO do look slick dont they? only my wife sees my shop, and could care less about what my stuff looks like. oh well. maybe on the next cool gadget you will have courage. Good luck.

What folks need to know is that quality tools need to match standards. ISO, JIS, or such. IF they have these designations the rest is features and marketing.

Really like the cover you made for Makita saw hole. I hate the price even though you Festool and TSO can charge whatever you like. Shipping charges are killing your sales. Ouch. I think you should bundle two for the price of one and that would offset your shipping fee. Just a thought. Good Luck.
@wittworks
@wittworks Жыл бұрын
unfortunately USPS charges a min of $4 for shipping anything NOT a letter...So the options are 1) sell it at the price point and add shipping, or 2) add the shipping in the fee and ship it "for free". What would you prefer? $10 plus $4 shipping or $14 free shipping? The alternative is to buy a 3d printer for $1000, a roll of filament for $40, and then learn how to 3D model... $10-15 seems like a bargain for the short cut I provide. I've also had no problem selling them :)
@AaronGeller

I hate the price of candy bars… so what of it? No one will love the price, but if it’s a great product or service, they’ll love what they got in exchange for their money. $14 is NOTHING for a quality product that solves a real problem for a product that cost more than 25-50 times the accessory itself. As a business owner myself, I think Witt has priced it EXTREMELY competitively and a very affordable price.
