I have owned an RM400 mower (In Northern Ireland) for 30+ years. It has given excellent service requiring only replacement belts and blades.

Trying to replace my blades. Are the bolts left hand threads? Tried lefty loose and I couldn't free it up

Great video and point on greasing the pto shaft. Question: It looks like you took the pto off while leaving the 3-pt hitch hooked up -- is this easy or hard in the disconnecting and then reconnecting??? Thanks for the share and the little tips along the way!

You never know what you're getting into when hooking up a piece of 3 point equipment. Both the pto shaft and 3 point can be hard to hook up. However other times it seems as if everything just falls into place by itself. The most important thing is to just take your time and not get frustrated, once you do that everything goes downhill quickly! I always try and leave 3 point equipment sitting on level ground that makes a huge difference as well when you go to rehook it.

@@SkylarHillShop Thanks for the full reply. So, can you (and is it easier) to just connect the pto for greasing while leaving the 3-point hitch still connected??? - Thanks again for your time and videos!

Correct there's absolutely no reason you can't do that

How does that mower do in really thick grass/ little weed trees......maybe 18” tall... don’t know if you have tried that. Looking at same mower on CL

I would say that's too much for this mower. I'd get something larger/ possibly a rough cut mower.
