Fito is an incredible drummer. He threw his drumsticks out into the audience during his "Refried Boogie" solo and beat on those drums like they were congas. Everyone went nuts !! Same for when The Bear would leap up to land on the beat. What great vocals. Owl and Sunshine were milking the boogie blues 😎 Larry was immersed and animated. Linn County opened. I first saw Canned Heat in 1968 at the first Boston Tea Party location which was more like a Fillmore west type of venue. All the original musicians with Bob Hite aka the "Bear", Henry Vestine, and Massachusetts' own, "The Blind owl", Alan Wilson. Their cover of Wilburt Harrison's, "Let's Work Together" is still kick ass today! They were students of the blues, who became scholars, who became masters. Gotta love, "Turpentine Moan!"
