Good morning Rod. Thanks again for a great video. What I learned today.....You don't need a bunch of tools to get the job done. Sometimes I feel like I'm watching an advertisement for woodturning tools rather than a video on how to turn something. Also, learned more on your finishing process. Looks great. Stay safe, stay away...stay 6' away. thanks again.

A while back I asked if you had worked with big leaf maple. And now you have. Extraordinarily beautiful wood comes from these trees. Here in the PNW, Big leaf maples are actually poached from Olympic National Park and sold for upwards of $100000 per tree. Their wood is used in high end musical instruments. The work you put in to this bowl was fabulous! Fantastic finish with the sphere finial. The top was a great offset to that BLM bottom. As always, remarkable forethought on your vision for this piece. Thank you for sharing!
@RHumphrey4 жыл бұрын
I remember that question! And what an absolute pleasure it was to turn, I'm glad I had the opportunity. Thanks very much! Wow, that's a shame about the poaching. The love of money...sadly.
