Those that gave you a "thumbs down" I would like to see them post a video of them doing better work. Anymore, people are so quick to judge and dislike something ( or someone), and not be any better, and or possibly worse than those that they place judgement upon!!! You ( the maker of this video), are putting yourself "out there" for the whole world to see!!! That, to me, takes a lot of courage to do in this day and age!!! Keep doing what makes YOU happy!!

Wow what a terrific job you did on that. Mr. Humphrey I have watched many of your video's but have never commented on any of them, so I would like to take this opportunity to do just that. I really enjoy your video's and have learned a lot from watching them. I am going to begin turning in the near future and that's why I've been watching video's on the subject. I don't want to take away from other turners on KZbin, but yours are the best. I really like listening to you explain things, and especially like that you don't have loud music playing in the background. Listening to you is much more enjoyable. I have subscribed to your channel and am looking forward to seeing more of your video's in the future. I would also like this opportunity to THANK YOU for your service to our country. It's not hard to figure out that you were a marine. Our veterans don't seem to get the thanks or respect they deserve these days, so I want you to know that I do thank and respect all of them.. Anyhow, thanks again for the video's and keep them coming. Wishing you the best. Respectfullly Jim

Bring on the umbrellas (as long as they're dry and padded on the end)! It amazes me how true your spacer rings run even after that many rings. Mine tend to wobble a little - probably because I don't have the 3-4 weeks of patience you have. Thank you for sharing and inspiring.

Ron, this piece, like all your other pieces, is a MATERPIECE! I really enjoy your work no matter what the format is you use. I've watched your videos dating back to '15 & enjoyed them all to date. Please keep them going. I've been turning for a while myself but I haven't been confident enough to do any segmented work yet. I do believe you've motivated me now to try. I'll have to sit down tomorrow & figure out the angles & length for segments. After I figure out the diameter of each ring, Thanks for inspiring me sir with your gorgeous work. FYI, I subscribed!
@RHumphrey6 жыл бұрын
Tim, I can't thank you enough for your continued interest in my projects! You are a big part of my motivation! Segmented turning looks a lot more difficult than it is. Just make a ring, you'll learn enough from that one ring to continue with a full project. Try a cheap pine 1x2 cut into 16 one inch pieces at 11.25 degrees (the one inch is the outer measurement, the inner measurement doesn't matter...) feel free to email me with questions 🙂
