What a fun project to turn! I recently turned a bowl someone else roughed out, and although it was not 2,000 years old, the finished product was amazing. The bog wood turned out great!

beautiful bowl, well done my friend , I have found putting a coat of sanding sealer on the wood before putting ca glue on keeps it from staining the wood. Give it a try next time I"m sure it will help . Good turning in the year.
@WOODTURNINGBYBRANDSTRUP3 жыл бұрын
Thank you very much 😀 I did out of Camera use sanding sealer, but the wood is so dry and crisp that it did not help.. but you are 100 % right it is a good trick .. Thank you for watching .. stay safe :-) 😀😀

You may consider removing your live center from your tailstock while turning. The point can cut your hand or elbow. Beautiful bowl.

Very nice piece. Quick question, is that 12mm carbide scraper a tool that you made? I'm in the process of making some deep hollowing tools
@WOODTURNINGBYBRANDSTRUP3 жыл бұрын
Thank you very much .. 😀 The 12 mm scraper is a HOPE tool, with a home made handle, I like it a lot and use it to small hollowing jobs, for the large hollowing I use the full system .. here is a link for the hand tool .. hopewoodturning.co.uk/woodturning-tools-handles/hope-carbide-cutting-tools/101/hope-cryo-hook-tool-12mm?c=5 Happy new year and stay safe 😀
