"much love"... Yer... There s much love in yur way of working. Beyond yur skills... Beyond yur wish to do it correctly... Professionally speaking. That s what makes a nice personality. A man who found his place in the world. Yur a lucky guy for sure... Tks again for this new bowl. Meeting of cherry tree, walnut and blue sand is very "apeasant" ... "Quiet" for eyes and... Soul. As a light smile from deep canadian forest may I say. (Even I never visited canada. Neither usa where my ancestors are coming from...)

When sanding hard materials like sodalite use ceramic sandpaper with a hard backing paper. Ceramic sandpaper creates very little heat. The good stuff has a friable grit so stays sharp. Sodalite looks gorgeous in your fantastic bowl. You proved my mantra, there is no such thing as a mistake only an opportunity to make something better.

Hi Jim I like the bowls inlay and I like the middle inlay of cherry branch's and the soda light and brass inlay they both look really cool the finish of the bowl is awesome. I'd say all your bowls and other things you make are magnificent I love watching you turn. Thats an amazing amount of sandpaper for quite a smallish area. Thanks for another awesome video Jim xx Amanda

Great Bowl, as to the kiln I think if you put a dimmer switch between your controller and the bulb you could use a 100 watt bulb and adjust the temperature more gradually and precisely without changing bulbs...just a suggestion! Great job and love the channel...very inspirational!!

Perfect timing for this video. Just a few days ago I joined the "funnel" club. Wasn't difficult at all!! It was a very small bowl, about 3 inch diameter. I drilled a pilot hole through the bottom so it was a clean hole. Then I made a base something like a wine glass and glued it to the bowl. Now it looks like a chalice. Yours looks really nice!! Sometimes it's good to make mistakes!!

Do you have an online store front?

Just my website but it’s sold out right now. My main source of income is going around to juried art shows here in Ontario but everything is canceled this year. I’m in the process of making finished bowls now and hope to have lots for sale here soon. I’m also debating on starting a Etsy account and doing KZbin full time and just selling on Etsy. Jim.

Sprague Woodturning I highly recommend Etsy!!!! I buy a great deal off of Etsy from around the world. It’s an awesome platform to display your superior world class products next to others. It also makes it easier for people to purchase items because of the many payment platforms. Some people also have personal websites that offer more products. But most, if asked, will set up one-off items on Etsy.

I liked the darker wood as a base so at least to me it was an added bonus to see an OOPS turned into a contrasting base for the bowl that added character.

Solid surface counter top material works great crushed for inlays and it doesn't dull the tools like the mineral products

This came out so awesome What a wonderful way to take an accident and create a bowl that rises beyond what the orbital would have been. I wonder if maybe router deliberate patterns up and down the sdes. Like a swirl on the outside or inside of a bowl. This one came out so beautiful.

Loving your videos. If can on a future video, maybe you could talk about your lathe tools and brand name and model etc. I want to buy some and my area in Manitoba is not close to a decent outlet to look over any. Lee valley tools is 500km away and rarely get there. If possible I’d order on line. Thanks for your videos.

I need to shoot some video tomorrow and I just might cover the tools I use, by the way they pretty much all come from Lee Valley, Jim.
