You have a good shine on your work piece it is beautiful. I don't think you could have prevented those voids with a pressure pot because you just keep the air in it. Only if you use vacuum you can get the air out but for a short while because you extract the air that's in the wood, and you create bubbles and foam. Stay safe and keep turning

Thank you for watching. I think my mold was really tight, also I ended up turning it upside down because it leaked, so that's probably what caused the void. It's a learning process!

Nice gloss at the end :D. But why did it chip there? Was there an air bubble trapped when you poured the resin over the wood? Did you use a vaccum chamber for it ?

Yes it was a few air bubbles. I don't have a pressure pot yet, so I used table resin for it's very slow set time to try to reduce the bubbles. It works well, but it's not perfect.
