Thank you, Jim for another great video. I enjoy turning sycamore a lot and also using Milliput although I haven't mastered it as much as you. One of the great pleasures of woodturning for me is finishing off an inlay of Milliput and leaving it overnight. I watch your work in amazement. I can only envy. But what I would welcome, if you were to measure the dimensions of the raw wood. I live in Czech Republic.

Thank you very much Roger, the undercut rim makes a big difference to a piece like this although it is a swine to sand ! Not sure if I will sell the original skull carving but I would like to make some bronze castings from it one day. Cheers Jim

Thank you very much, glad you liked Mia’s guest appearance. I would love to teach her to turn but she has zero concentration at the moment and this seems to have gotten worse as lockdown has gone on. Stay safe. Cheers Jim

Oooh, lovely. A statement piece for certain! Is my memory serving me properly? I seem to remember that you can blend the colors to adjust the shade, is that right? I.E.: white in black for grey? Love this bowl! Beautiful work.

Thank you very much Liz, yes colours can be blended although I would recommend mixing them separately first. Cheers Jim

Be nice to try the new record lathe i got the old cl1 with the bronze bearings. Just replaced the bronze bush bearings would be nice to see if its smoother

This lathe is certainly an upgrade from the old bronze bearings and no need to oil. I have been very impressed with how smooth and quiet it is. Many thanks for watching. Cheers Jim

Brilliant work. Love the Milliput rim. One thing that puzzled me was how you reverse mounted the bowl?

Thank you very much. I somehow managed to not film that bit, I used Cole jaws expanded into the mouth of the bowl. Cheers Jim
