Can't wait to see the final process. I turned a pen recently and forgot how much time it takes for each piece and part... doesn't speed up time having to move a camera around either! Looking forward to Part 2

I would use medium for gluing, given the choice. I've been wanting to try these cross, curvy segments... if I ever get back to the shop. The blanks look great. Nice choice of woods. Okay, gonna check out the next video. See ya there!

Hi Mike, Thank you very much. I used a 24 TPI blade on the bandsaw, for this type of work, so there weren't many cut lines, or gaps, on the pieces. I also use the veneer to cushion the joint as well. I'm not sure I'm an expert but if something goes wrong I show it and then the fix if I can fix it. Thanks again my friend. Take care. Cheers, Huw

@@WoodenItBeNice Oh yeah, 24 TPI show do the trick just fine. I use 3 or 4 TPI on mine - for cutting log 'n stuff, so is very different. On the other hand my nice finishing hand saw blades have about 10-14 TPI and they're really good cuts - 24 is for metal cutting. Thanks for clueing me in 👍

Congratulations Huw on the 1k subs 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼, nice recovery on the blanks 👍🏻 I use those little squeeze clamps as they are handy but not good for applying lots of pressure, I tend to go back to the trusted cast G clamps. You should try 6 part series vids 😂. Cheers Steve

I hope you won't be angry but I started to giggle as it got more and more obvious that you were getting a bit lost! Sorry! But you really won me back with your remark about Battenburg cake - I completely understood what you were getting at with that remark. The only trouble is that now I really want some Battenburg... Incidentally, I think this is much better done in two vids - there's quite a lot to take in with this method so it's better to spread it out.
