Thanks, Glen and Liza, for your videos, I really enjoy them the shorts and the full length. Maybe ppl struggle with concentrating longer than five minutes, haha, but seriously, all good, and you give a lot of inspiration to me. I hope one day I can be as successful with my channel. The problem I have, though, is time, I work full time as a support worker, which doesn't leave a lot of time for making wood chips and saw dust. But I get out as often as I can.

Hi Jesse. I have subscribed. Glad you are enjoying the videos. Yes, you are right. People just don't want to watch anything longer than 5 minutes or so. We will do some long and short ones, to please everybody. Don't want anyone to feel left out.

Thanks Alan. Thought there might be some brown but it was mainly the orange you get from Paduk.

A pretty piece of wood turned into a really lovely pot/tub/thing. Nice work Glenn. Liza, what a thought & an idea all from seeing a little finial. From little acorns grow great oaks eh!, even though it was padouk 😊

Beautiful grain. Very similar in colour and grain of jarrah. ❤❤❤

Had to look up what Jarrah wood looks like. Native to Australia. Can be quite orangey n colour too, yes just like Paduk.

Hello Glenn mark from New Zealand here, we are tought to have our hand on top of the tools we are using. Do you have a preference as to witch way to go under hand or over hand
@glennteagleofukwoodcraftca53084 ай бұрын
It all depends on the cuts you are doing. Basically hold the chisel firm but not over tight and keep your hand off the tool rest. I've mentioned about this on several earlier videos.

It would be great if you said what tool, grit paper finish you are using
@glennteagleofukwoodcraftca530811 ай бұрын
I started with my Spindle gouges, then bowl gouge when I started the hollowing, then carbides. Finishing I always start from 180 grit, going up to 320 grit. The finish was my own wax. It's not available for purchase. I don't usually state brands when using them. Tools are tools.

Nice, do you have any relation to/in Leicester? We may be related..

Okay no probs, just that Teagle is not a common name and I was born a (Teagle father) (Baker mother) in Leicester 1952 and have not been able to trace my birth parents (adopted at birth), nearest I got was Sam Teagle believed to have moved to Belgium after the war (WW2) :) Was a long shot but as I'm also hobby related woodworking/engineering, it was worth a try.@@glennteagleofukwoodcraftca5308
