Beautiful Afshin, just beautiful. As for the second blank, a nice pedestal bowl maybe? But you are the one to make that decision. From the videos of yours, that I've watched, your intuition hasn't been wrong yet. Thanks for sharing. Mark

Lovely work as always, Afshin! Would you mind identifying the hollower you're using at 11:34 ? Thank you!
@CraftWithAfshin5 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching mate and the hollower is Simon Hope's Pro hollower you can find it in this link hopewoodturning.co.uk/tools-handles/hope-carbide-cutting-tools/13/hope-6-mm-pro-carbide-tool?c=5

When I first saw your videos,Afshin I thought you were a good turner but you've reached the status of a "great" turner in my view. I'd be hesitant about turning another bowl but boxes similar to the one in this upload are always of great interest.

:D thank you Alan your very kind, in my view Alan its nothing special its natural way of progress and improvment, we all will achieve whatever we work towards and when you truely love something you improve even faster but nevertheless i appreciate the compliment

Meant as constructive criticism rather than nastily, the lid should either have a plainer knob if it's to be functional or should be sleeker a la Cindy Drozda, if it's decorative. Still lovely turning though, as always. :)
@CraftWithAfshin5 жыл бұрын
Thanks Rob, well the way i made the lid with recess means that any other woodturner can change the shape if they want, ill keep it this way though because i like to come up with different designs and if i restrict myself to the designs that are "acceptable" ill never improve :)
