Awesome work Erik! 👌 I'll have to make one of these for my dad. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks Heath, He will love it. Taper the lid tenon and the first 3/8" of the hole ever so slightly like 2 degrees off of 90 and that will allow you to make some adjustments by sanding down the end of the canister until it is nice and snug. Leave the ghost of the lid tenon on the body of the canister and that will show you the small end of the taper and work from there. You probably already know that but just sayin! Peace and safe turning!

Many thanks Erik for a great piece of turning. I haven't had a smoke for over forty years but this project gives me the yearning for a good cigar. Best... Alan.

Sorry Alan, not my intentions to cause a craving. Thanks for watching and enjoying. I was just holding one of the last small chunks of BogOak you sent me and wondering if I had a good idea for it. It is so cool as it is I keep saving it as a raw memento of your gift. Peace and be well my friend!

Nice little canister Erik. Although I'm no longer a smoker I still like this project. Very elegant looking...your friend will be pleased. I sent you a PM on an unrelated matter.
