Common English verbs that appear in cooking instructions.
We look at different methods of cooking and how to say these words in English.
You will hear the pronunciation of a verb associated with cooking instructions, then you will hear its definition or meaning and then we have an example sentence using that verb.
Next to each verb and definition is a photo to help with understanding.
The 32 English verbs relating to cooking in this video are:
add, bake, barbecue, beat, blend, boil, break, chop, cook, cut, drain, fry, grate, knead, measure, melt, microwave, mix, peel, pour, roast, scramble, sift, slice, sprinkle, squeeze, stir, stir-fry, tenderize, wash, weigh, and whisk.

In pratice, I could describe what I do every morning when I’ve breakfast. Let’s try: I love eating pancakes with greek yogurt. I usually prepare them by breaking four eggs and putting the white part into a bowl. Then, I add fifty grams of oat flour and mix them with a whisk, until it’s a smooth solution, without lumps. After, I pour it into a pan and I cook it for at least fifteen minutes. Finally, I complete my energetic breakfast with a cup of coffee and a fruit. Thanks a million as usual 👏🏻👏🏻. This video is more than useful. It makes my mouth water 😅
