To Be + Adjective - Basic English Grammar Lesson

In this English lesson, we look at how to use TO BE with Adjectives in the Present Tense.
We look at making positive sentences of To Be + Adjective and give an example with each form of To Be in the present tense.
Next we look at making negative sentences with To Be and Adjectives using the order: To Be + Not + Adjective
Then we look at making questions with To Be and adjectives.
Next we give examples of affirmative and negative sentences using opposites.
Finally, we have some practice exercises.

My city is large. Its name is Santo Domingo which is the capital of Dominican Republic and where I've lived as long as I can remember haha. I can say that It's a modern city in itself... It isn't like Tokyo or something like that haha. My city is clean, the residents do their best to keep it that way. Uhm... the security issue is a bit hard to accept but it's livable. An uncountable noun uses IS as the verb. Chocolate = it Chocolate is sweet. It is sweet. Sugar is sweet. It is sweet. Unless you talk about two uncountable nouns. Chocolate and Sugar are sweet. They are sweet.
