This is an excellent move by the Lions! Smith helps the pass rush, maybe quite a bit, but man, run D from the edge just got a lot stouter. They have been getting kinda scorched that way since Hutch went down for the count

Scorched how is that they are allowing less than 20 points a game this year. Yardage don't mean anything if you can't score. Yeah some teams have gotten yardage between the 20's but most of them have been losing and those yards are garbage yards. Their defense has been much improved this year even after Hutch went down.
