Nickel plating is a good approach for tables. Don't know if I would necessarily call it "technology" since it's something that's been used for decades and is the key component to alloys like Stainless Steel. Certainly makes for trouble-free upkeep of your steel surfaces. Surprised that other manufacturers never did this sooner.

Idea for additional testing would be to rub a 2x4 at least 100 times to simulate use prior to wet rag test. This would help sell to those thinking there is a "factory protective sealant". 🤭

I just use a car sealant to protect my cast iron tops. Lots of nano or ceramic options available for $30 to $40 that will protect every tool in the shop for years.

Sorry, but don't understand why this is so cutting edge... Nickle plating things to keep it from rusting has been done for decades. This was always the base for chrome plating...

I have the Harvey table saw and router table set in the table saw. Mine does not have the new coating but I love both of them. I would love to get the band saw and the wood lathe as well, but they only come in 230 volts. I don't feel like wiring up 230v in my shop, plus I already have the Jet band saw and wood lathe and both of them are working well. I would like to get the new big eye fence for the band saw if they come out with it and if it will fit on my Jet band saw. That is the only complaint I have with the Jet. The fence is Terrible. As 731 would say "It's hot garbage".

Unfortunately better innovations bring higher prices, while this is absolutely fantastic technology it will make it not affordable for alot of us. With that being said this is a great thing and fantastic machinery, Thanks for the review.

Yeah, but they do make saw blades, a good saw blade will last a casual woodworker years with occasional sharpening. Just make sure you have a sharpening service near you. I have two near me for $12-20, cheaper and better than getting new low-quality saw blades. I wonder if the accessories they make are compatible with other saws.

Yeah 3X harder and 3X the cost. What we learned was don’t park your saw under a water fall and you’ll be fine with what you have.
