Lookup "Jobsite Table Saw Bench" in the 3D warehouse! I have been working on designing an assembly table that would incorporate my jobsite table saw. Finally finished this evening and uploaded it to the warehouse! I made it somewhat generically sized for the table saw opening. Like the video, I designed it so that when the fence is removed, the saw table would sit flush with the assembly table top. Granted, my saw needs to have cut outs in the table top to accommodate the fence rails as they slide out to the right in order to allow a 25 1/2" rip capacity. I kept the additional space open so the end-modeler could incorporate drawers, doors, or even other tools. I'm not a huge fan of having the miter saw in a table like this because the inconvenience of having to move it more often. In my 2 car garage, I have plenty space to build a miter saw station so that's the next project! BTW - I've only been modeling in Sketchup for a few short weeks.

Glad to be watching this. Learned SketchUp back when I was a CADD/specifier at an office furniture dealership, I’ve left that behind. But am looking to make our garage into a workshop!

Wish I could have joined the live stream to hear the discussion about the alignment of the table saw with the miter saw. From my POV it looks like the table saw will be unusable unless you take the miter saw off the bench. The wood has to clear both sides of the blade when cutting on the table saw. I saw Aaron check one side but not both. Maybe I missed it.

That's right! The bench was designed to use one of three saws at time (Table saw, miter saw, ot router). The saws not being used have to get out of the way.

And based on the final model, this is a machining workbench, not useful for assembly of cabinets, furniture, or anything other than small projects.
