Cowell passed away december 17 2020, from cancer. Fantastic with Gary Bartz, Another Earth. Harold Land and Bobby Hucherson another great group.

Hard to believe that Woody Herman Shaw had less than two years to live, from this concert, where he is in full great form and performance.

It is brilliant, now or then. Well done! I would have sworn you blended a board mix recording with the video. It proves Tech wasn't crap then, and that you are a hell of a cameraman.

Woodys is on fire as usual !!!! LMAO at his two step dance move though, he looked like he had to urinate, and was trying to hold it.

His dance is just meditative motion. Trading 4s so inspiring!!!

Very witty Stanley Cowell solo full of quirky quotes of pop standards. Woody Shaw: how did he think so fast? Just fabulous playing. Is that a cornet?
@stinging6 жыл бұрын
Getting the fingers, the chops and the brain to work together is no easy job. It's a trumpet, not a cornet.

Beautiful video and sound. I can hear Woody snapping his fingers so clearly. How did you do this, stinging?
@stinging12 жыл бұрын
Thanks... It was simple. Sit in the first row. Aim the camera (with camera mic) at the stage and try to avoid the cigar smoke from the guy sitting next to me. People who think tech was crap until digital technology are mistaken.
