This is the 2nd edition of the ride, released between 1999 and 2000.

But, oh dear, there seems to be a knot in their hose and it's about to burst. This is just some of the fun featured on this all-action cartoon ride. I second that. Even here in the southeastern States, they're getting obsolete. Some more pre-1999 JR rides I would to find are the Snoopy Doghouse (with the actual Peanuts soundtrack), both Richard Scarry rides, the Garfield car and Mighty Mouse rocket. We know that Mighty Mouse ride is really rare, but I love that character!

+Conversus W. Vans (Paul) I'm just kicking myself because even five years ago I probably could have found all of those (except Mighty Mouse)...but I was only filming vintage rides then. I feel like such an idiot because now the "modern" rides from my childhood are all gone too...and I let them slip through my fingers without filming them. :(

If there is something about seeing JR rides in the U.S. that bums me more than anything, it's finding rides with custom audio boxes (with the generic safety message found in many American rides). Original audio all the way!

+Conversus W. Vans (Paul) I know how that feels. When I went to the Savannah Mall back in June 2015 (where I filmed the Jolly Roger Mini-Train ride), I also saw a JR fire truck that had its audio box replaced with an Eletech box.

BTW, this particular ride did not have an attract sound. I waited 3 and half minutes... nothing played. It must've been turned off. You may have also noticed that the "Press start" message cuts out.

This version of the Woody Woodpecker Show theme also sounds a tad like Thomas the Tank Engine's theme.

Kiddie rides are fairly hard to find individually. Have you seen the plane version of this ride before? It's one of my favorite rides ever!

Mighty Mouse is actually one of Jolly Roger's rarest licensed character models, even here in the US. Same applies with Roley, but I've seen Woody quite a bit.

Some of the rarest rides (to my knowledge): - X-Men blackbird and Incredible Hulk jeep from Kiddie's Inc. - Richard Scarry: Bananas Gorilla car (JR) - Batman and Robin batcave (JR) - Tweenies rocket (Amutec), not rare in England though...

Well, I have a copy of the manual sitting and the release on the front is May 1998. The plane came out in 1995/96 and has a different Woody Woodpecker logo from this.

I've never been to Virginia but I saw the plane version of this ride at our local T'R'U once in 2013. I didn't test the ride there so I don't know what it had as far as sound.

Currently, they have a Bob the Builder Scoop ride and a Big Bird airplane at the Toys 'R' Us in Roanoke, VA.

Yes I did; I filmed inside the ride and held my phone directly to the speaker. The original video was in stereo, so I made the video mono to make your both your ears hear the theme song.
