At 3:51:00 they are talking about the pressure in your head coming off a plane and your ears not popping. To resolve that mix a small amount of warm water with like half a spoonful of salt. Mix it and lay down on your side. Have someone slowly drip it directly into your ear. Keep it there for 5 min, stand up and release the water and it will 90% of the time release the pressure in your head and unclog your ear. Repeat for other side. Do it again if you have too. My buddy who is in the navy did this for me after walking around all day with everything sounding like I was underwater.

the sound the guys are talking about with their ears is made by voluntarily tensing their tensor tympani muscle, the same one that makes your ears pop when you yawn. it does make loud noises quieter to prevent hearing damage so kyle isn't just making it up

The sword drawing thing making no sound is actually only partially true. For katana type swords you don’t get it as often but a lot other styles of sword you do because they’d often have a metal ringed area around the top of the scabbard that you would rub against as you draw out of the leather area and across your body. Unless you went straight out which hardly ever happens you do get some of that sound.
