If you have issues mentally, make sure you explore thoroughly the repercussions that CAN (definitely a small portion of people) happen when psychedelics are introduced. Have fun, be safe. Trip responsibly. But YES! They can be a great tool for many things! Smoking cessation and a perspective shift are just two of them. Edit: also, id use the words "helped me" rather than "made me." The anxiety is infinitely worse as you can be okay and used to being depressed but when you can’t sleep, can’t eat, and can’t think it ruins your life. As someone who's had a panic attack before, that's exactly what it feels like. In my instance, it felt like was about to have a heart attack. I was suddenly apologizing internally for everything I took for granted. Nothing physiological happened, but it left me in an extremely unstable mental state both while waiting for the diagnosis & after when I got home for a whole week. I've suffered from depression for nearly 20 years & this new level of depression was far worse. It left me with no feeling of worth whatsoever. I was eventually given anti-anxiety meds & suddenly my mental health became so much better.
