had a karen neighbor yelling at me and some buddies for “being loud” while we played catch at 8:30. 2nd time she came over and screamed and threatened us. told my dad, he went over there with a buddy and knocked on the door. after a little back and forth the husband comes flying out the front door “GET THE FUCK BACK TO YOUR HOUSE AND GET THOSE KIDS TO SHUT THE FUCK UP BEFORE I CALL THE POLICE” my dad goes “BITCH WE ARE THE POLICE AND NOW YOURE GETTING ARRESTED FOR DISORDERLY CONDUCT” and proceeded to arrest him for disorderly conduct. i sat in the front window drinking a caprisun with my buddies while the on duty officers showed up and took him to jail.

I've said the warmth thing pop up and I told them how to fix it. So I was an aircraft mechanic and there is this generator made specifically for heating. It also has hoses/ducts you can attach to route said heat so what I told the gate guards to do is get ahold of age tell em to get a heater cart to the gate and use the ducts to route the airflow down the back of their ballistic vest. You may end up looking a bit like a marshmallow but it'll keep you warm no problem.

Main Gate at every base I was at had a big structure over it to keep gate guards out of the weather as well as a nice warm gate shack. Walking the stone on the flight line out in the snow for a whole shift with no vehicle, no gate shack and no heater with the the wind chill really sucked. Many times you had a gate shack with heat in it, but your shift commander wouldn't let you use it, as he felt it looked better to have you walking the stone.

I asked the gate guard at Luke AFB if he's staying cool out here and he made me pull to the side for an inspection and made me get out and it took about 25 minutes for that inspection to be done. If i remember correctly it was roughly 110 degrees that day and there was no shade where he had me pull to, lesson learned lol. Just pull up, show your CAC card, and just say thank you and have a good day and move on, they WILL make you regret those types of questions.
