I wonder if the edge vest being stereo only loses some of the immersion from the original vest with 'directional haptics', ie more channels.

@@trik123451 I used it 2 times... It doesn't add much to the experience when gaming I think. Wireless there is a slight delay which is annoying, wired is also annoying because it's wired. I thought it was fun to watch horror series with this, cool experience. But I'm not charging and strapping it on for every movie, actually I don't even bother using it at all. But I keep forgetting to sell it. I honestly wouldn't bother with it.

@@gabbe35gamer It's pretty sweet, I love it. Been using it almost exclusively for my rift and I had the same type of reaction as most of the people in the videos my first time. I like how you can control the volume of the game on the fly from the vest and you can also turn up and down the intensity to better suit what type of game you are playing, so you aren't getting overly vibrated. I would almost consider it a must have if you have a VR system. My only complain would be that with wearing the helmet and the vest I tend to get hotter faster than with the headset alone. Especially on games with a lot of movement like Beatsaber

Hi, would you recommend the woojer vest? My company uses Oculus rift S for our VR games, how would the woojer vest edge be compatible with the Oculus rift S?

If you want to feel the game/experience, yes I highly recommend. Its pretty cool! Looks like you can use with the rift S over bluetooth. According to Woojer's website you can connect to Rift over bluetooth!

Price mainly, the edge is cheaper but has two fewer transducers and also only gives a stereo feed.

I think that's with the Vest Pro, which has 7.1 surround audio. Meaning if you plug in the right cables, you can feel it from the front, back, left or right, based on the direction the audio is coming from. Where the Vest Edge only has stereo (left and right).

hey buddy, can you tell how did you feel the sound split on your body? e.g. getting shot from the back, only back sensor come up? getting shot from back-diagonal, only one back and one side activated? Thanks!

Vest Edge is a stereo device. If the audio in the game has low frequencies in the left channel, you will feel it on the left side of Vest Edge.

Similar, but it's definitely got its own tech that makes you feel even more immersed. It vibrates off stereo, L/R. Feels much different than just a vibrate from some action in a game.

Much better, is more like staying in front of a big speaker in a club. In games this kind of devices manage to deliver some of the tactiles sensations you get in real life.

The quest 2 is the best inexpensive headset.

The Valve Index, it's not cheap, the most expensive VR headset in fact I believe. It beats anything else cheaper though by a massive margin, and supports higher than 60hz. Costs as much as a gaming PC but it's well worth it.
