Hi girls, love love love your podcast, and the three of you!!! In reply to your question about gift knits, well mine are currently charity knits. Here in NZ I have a group of knitters producing garments, ie hats, scarves/cowl, fingerless mitts, and slippers for new entrants in low decile schools. The pleasure this brings the teachers and children who receive these directly is so heartwarming for us, but more importantly beneficial to the children's health and emotional wellbeing. So many generous kiwi knitters and crocheters, god it's good!!!

Loved all your sweaters and that Solare sweater on Janet's needles especially has the chrisma factor for me. I bought this pattern from Joji Locatelli a while back when it 1st came out and now I'm thinking that after the Zwieg sweater by Caitlin Hunter that I just started on gets farther along, maybe I'll cast on Solare. I already have yarn from my stash for that! So many choices when we are immersed in this obsessive hobby right??? BTW- I just discovered another sweater that floated my boat, Jesse's Girl by Kate Oates which I bought. Love the neckline. I looked her up in Ravelry when I saw this sweater and she has some awesome designs. Have any of you seen her Ravelry page? I just finished a sock from 'By The Shore Socks' from Nancy Wheeler and now will cast the remaining sock on now. Since I learned to knit socks the end of 2022, I will ALWAYS have a pair of socks on the needles. I like going back and forth between socks and whatever bigger project I'm working on. Productivity goes up for me. Also have been making stitchmarkers and gifting earrings to my friends. I like retirement ALOT!!!!!! Hope you all are staying cozy and warm with your knitting!!!!! I love your podcast. I don’t have any knitting friends and when I sit to knit with you gals, I feel like I’m with friends. Thank you for spending time with us. I mentioned to you previously that I recently lost four immediate family members in about a year and a half time (my very special sister included) and it was so very difficult. Happy Thanksgiving!! to you all from across the boarder. Claudia’s mohair ideas are really great! I would use them to lighten my sweaters. I find the added lighter texture would work best for me as a full mohair/wool makes me way too warm. The Chilam is such a gift and I added it, and her other patterns to my collection. Reading patterns seems to be my newest passion. I’m learning which stitches, techniques and such are needed as well as , colours. Always a joy to watch you ladies and love the discussion and seeing all your knits, finished or wips, they are all so inspiring.

I was making gift knits. But I have 16 wips and a trip to Scotland so between that and work 🫠 I have zero FOs. My only hope is I can finish a gift knit for my cousin for the scotland trip since we’ll be there for Christmas. And maybe an accessory that I can wear while there. Edited to say: 1:33:35 I’m sure he doesn’t like being called a dirt doctor. I’m an archaeologist. So he’s a geologist? But even in my field (the study of past humans) we have archaeologists who are Geoarchaeologists and they combine the two together so that they can understand soil profiles and sediments at archaeological sites.
