So the false son is probably a construct like Aurelionite, maybe not necessarily a titan but we'll see. The Seeker is most definitely from the High Court like Artificer, I believe the enviro log from the new map references a seeker/scout from the High Court(as well as very concerning implications of Gup origins :o). Man, I love the lore for this game. So nebulous, but so fascinating.

@ezethealconswell I had actually forgotten about the trailer, but upon rewatching the voice over implies that the False Son combines traits from Aurelionite, Providence, and Mithrix. "Her perfection, His passion, his loneliness and hatred", showing each character in succession.

@@Lesquidliestone I think her perfection actually refers to nkuhana, as she was on good and (power wise) even terms with the brothers, though it seems she died saving Providence which angered mithrix as in the brittle crown log “she should have died for me. Her gift was wasted on you”. Also in the egocentrism log “I, who looked out for you after her death”. The reason I believe this is nkuhana is that she was another god, the one of balance. From the nkuhana’s opinion log “Let us begin. What is your oath? Not very long ago, health and time were in perfect synergy. Pain and love. Death and memories. The great equalizer. She would always come for us. But! Disparity now plagues our generations - and our children's. Not many pass, but so many are born. So many doomed souls, saved. Our hubris as a race continues to grow - unchecked. Unrestrained. Now there is no volume in our world for death, and she cannot visit us. But is being alive only an offset from death? Though both could refer to Nkuhana as she is a god of death and life.

In this case. Yeah. But that is sadly not quite right. If there is any kind of digital rights management, like encryption, it is Illigal to even attempt to circumvent or break it. It is a ridiculous law. It can't really be enforced, but it should still be noted.

So with the Seeker having the switch group, the leaker is basically mentioning that the Seeker is the only one to use a Switch statement to alternate between each material for footsteps, based off the need for footsteps it could be a bulky-style character like Loader who may have heavy footsteps. A switch statement is basically a list of ifs but compact and much cleaner. Doing it this way makes it a lot easier to alternate between materials

The game was near perfect on the PC and got worse with every update that gearbox made. not just bugs but game design too. if its prone to happening why is it happening every single new update? because its prone to happening due to it being gearbox and they have a long track record of not caring about quality what so ever in all their games. no exception.

I hope theres gonna be new skills for existing survivors as well.... definitely one of my favorite things about ror2. The fact that I can go hunt a specific achievement, and I get this really cool reward from it, that makes it so I can change the way I play an existing survivor. And if the new survivors don't have alternate skills I'm gonna be so disappointed.

About yesterday or so the pre order for the vinyl record with the soundtrack for the new dlc became available on the site black screen records. There it says "estimated shipping October 2024". This is rarely a perfect indicator, but assuming it's accurate we should be getting the dlc around that time or a little bit before that.

Tbh I don’t think the leak is that bad overall for the community or gear box. I come from card games so leaks are somthing that can happen often but I think what happen was that the devotion update was probably originally apart of the dlc since it is that first day night map we have seen and they overlooked the audio files. And we still don’t know what the Actual gameplay is, there is still stuff to reveal on there end.

False Son always seemed plausible as a survivor to me, the skill names remind me a lot of Paladin which would be cool. this seems rather obvious if you think about how sudden the devotion update was concieved. even if you look at the devotion update and its content, you can definetely see that it wasn't planned. they slapped in a stage that was gonna be dlc, didn't add in the artifact codes yet, and the files make it look even more like simply an unfinished build of the new dlc. and the second very spoiler character definetely wont be like heretic, because how would it work if you have two items that replace the same skill?

It worries me that Hopoo has 0 to do with the game anymore. Hopefully it doesn't remove the "soul" from the game. Hopoo came up with the original and awesome lore and characters that GB may not build upon or be capable of working from that "soul". Its a trend these days that corporations buy up beloved IPs and don't care about the IP. And just see it as an MTX opportunity to capitalize on. I hope I'm dead wrong. And speaking of dead... It does give me hope that they put the Dead Cells dude skin in. I started playing DC when I took my last RoR2 break and thought it was flipping awesome when I saw the Soldier skin in there (DC is well worth trying to anyone who hasn't, its now my second favorite rogue like). And loving the nod skin in Risk.
