At the beginning of the vid I immediately thought, fin box options a bit limiting, but then as another older grommet turning 52 next month I can easily recall the days before fin boxes and if it works, its works hey. Board went great for ya and was cool watching you surf that break the majority of your footage was taken. Brought back memories of piling into one of my mates or my own holden/ford station wagon back in the mid 80's to I think the last time I surfed there was about 1991 with Dave Smith attempting to flog his Bedford van up the last hill. Getting bogged was never an issue with your instacrowd of mates to dig/push your way out 😀🤙

Hey mate, once again great review! You mention about sizing it up… I’ve been out of the water for 2 years with a knee replacement and just started to get back in to the water again, looking at getting a bit bigger board than my existing to get started again. What’s your thoughts on one of these sized to around 42l (I’m 5’9 92kg, was riding 37ishL prior to surgery) or suggestions on other board?
@WoolyTVКүн бұрын
@@BWB35 good idea to go up in volume to get you surfing again after injury. This board is a lot of fun but anything with good volume will help you get back in the water. Just go up in volume and make it easy for you to seat having fun again!

Hello. I’m about to get one baron flyer 3.0. I would like to know what you recon. I’m 1.75 m for 83kg. On the shop have only the 5.9 34.1l or the 5.7 31l.. I usually surf thruster 5.11or 6 with 29 or 31l. Thank you .
@surf6d76911 ай бұрын
Nice. Reckon this would go well in a Wave pool, with its relatively steep, pockety waves?
@WoolyTV11 ай бұрын
I think it would be ok in the pool. It does have a wide nose and relatively low nose rocker so could struggle in the more steeper settings. If you wanted a pool specific board I would probably choose something else but if you were just surfing the pool every now and then it would do the job.

@WoolyTV11 ай бұрын
@@surf6d769 maybe check out the Xero Fusion in some of the Easy Rider DIMs. I have just started to ride one today and it would be good in the pool and mushy beach breaks. You could stay around the volume of your Big Baron or drop down a couple of litres. Hope that helps 🤙
