Great video, mate! I've been using Keychron's Q1 HE for several months. It's been a fantastic keyboard in all respects -- build quality (emergency bludgeoning weapon if you run out of ammo during a zombie apocalypse), HE switches, 2.4GHz, to name a few. I think I'll pull the trigger on the 80HE to see if it improves on the Keychron.

Seems pretty good, The non standard tkl layout is a bit odd, it doesn't sound top tier but its decent and it is a little on the expensive side for the zinc alloy case. Personally its not my favorite thing in the world, but for gaming performance and great software its gonna be hard to beat. Plus supporting a brand like wooting who actually take feedback and attempt to satisfy customers is cool

And depending on were you ship it to there is no realy competion with the same customer service , Software you can get a chinese brand yes but if you have any problem you are on your own becouse shiping back to China is so expensive you cant do it and software of this boards is just bad . The only real compairison to Wooting is Keychron and if i factor in Shiping its just 60 less then a Wooting with the Zin case .

Depends on shiping times and if you want the zinc case if you go for the zinc case straight one you shoud take the pre build version its a bit cheaper then going for the componants but shiping times will be longer with them haveing to build it for you

I ordered the new V2 Lekker (L45) switches for my 60 HE. IMO, these switches are where the biggest improvement will be felt for 80 HE buyers. Huge difference in sound and wobble and couldnt be happier with the upgrade.

200 for the plastic keybord is a damn good price. Wooting also has the best Linux support out of all other companies. Had to cancel my preorder cause I need a wireless keyboard, so ended up choosing Keychron Q1 HE instead. The Wooting customer support was awesome and everything was very easy with refunds and cancellation. Watching this review I just want to order again, just to support Wooting. :D

Has anyone addressed the common issue with the stabilizers? If you bottom a key out that has stabilizers, it will often get momentarily stuck at the bottom of the keystroke. I bought this up with wooting and was told to disassemble the keyboard, remove some kind of pad below the stabilizer, and that will fix the issue. Hardly good product support.

SOCD got banned by Valve in CS, bad example to use in the gameplay footage 😂but afaik Riot still allows it for Valorant, although Valorant doesn't have counter-strafing imbued as a mechanic in the game so it doesn't matter as much as it does in CS

60HE is tray mounted, 80HE is gasket mounted. 60HE is 1000MHz polling rate while 80HE is 8000MHz. That's about it.

You can just put volumen to layer 2 and be cool. Anyone that encounters actuation problems. Go check if the gasket mount is seated corectly and then click in the swithes again. Sadly they shiped me the black instead of the ghost but actually it probably looks better since I have space keycaps that are dark blue.

The 80HE does NOT run 8KHz straight out of the box. It runs at 1k giving ~1ms latency, and 8k is activated using tachyon mode in Wootility giving ~0.125ms latency

I've been looking for an 8khz keyboard that's metal and has optical/HE switches for a long time now and finally some have appeared that don't have that ugly "gamer" look like the razer and corsairs. Upgrading from my G910 with its double press issue. I'd rather spend $200 for this keyboard knowing that it would last 5+ years with no issue than a $100 one that uses proprietary parts that are soldered onto the PCB even though i had bought and installed replacements just to buy me time until this arrives at my house. It's s weird time I'm living in SUPER exited about a keyboard but Wooting never disappoints.

@@Dan-Simms The only remedy I was able to discover is to keep it unplugged and not use it for two weeks straight. After the two weeks, every time I’m done using the pc and actually turn it off, unplug the keyboard. Leaving it plugged in overnight seems to bring the issue back. Just a note that all of this only applies when you have replaced the double press key. It seems to refresh the pcb to a non double press state. I’ve been doing this for 3-4 months now and it will come to an end when my 80HE comes in this week or next. I can’t stand Logitech anymore and it says a lot when they have more money and recognition than wooting and still fall behind them in product quality.
