It's a fair request, but I've tried a few wrist rests that have been included with keyboards and they have been awful. If you want one that is actually good, you have to buy a good one separately unfortunately. Also, for wrist rest things, the height of the front row matters a lot in how the comfort is. The 80HE front row height is relatively low compared to other similar boards, so it should behave a bit better without one (doesn't mean that there is no need for one tho)

Most people don't want a wrist/palm rest, and if you do then you can just buy one separately. Honestly, it's a pretty niche tool and most people I know don't use them, even with boards that have a really high front height.

Wooting it's a good keyboard for gaming, I don't like its tkl design, I'm interested in other options from brands like Nuphy, Melgeek, and Zenaim. Nuphy Air60 HE has low-profile magnetics switches (I still waiting for 75/96 layout) I love that they are low profile, I think I'll go for this one instead of the Melgeek Made84 Pro. Zenaim it's a luxury and expensive keyboard from Japan. I would like to try it because of its switch that maintains the same activation force from start to bottom, it should be very consistent. The only bad thing is its design which is a little wide for a TKL, I would have liked it to be compact 75 or 96.

NuPhy was on my radar ... i ended up with Melgeek Made84Pro because of the layout. wanted to try that layout for some time now. But your reply really gives us a good glimpse that many other companies are doing something right also. ( that Nuphy low profile magnetic switches must be complicated to manage, i already feel a normal HE keyboard, if the switches are too light, are complex to manage when typing ... imagine a low-profile one :D )

synapse runs really efficiently now. It hasn't been "bloatware" for a while now. Tho I agree, web based apps are far better. Also that new razer keyboard is more expensive than the 80he abs case one and it doesn't even have HE or analog.

You should review the new Nuphy Field 75 HE. Its like the wooting 80he but 75% plus extra macro keys 4 keys below space bar, and 4 to left of tab/caps/shift/control.

@@JakubixIsHere no, so, if you hold down A, as soon as the key starts to go up it will register D, and vice versa. It will look like: aaaaaaaaad while you hold down A and then let go. Literally does the perfect counter strafe for you at hardware level in a millisecond.

they wont do other hardness because they want the system to remain ridgit so the HAL effect readouts remain acurate. (it is proximity based flex would distort that)

I still think for the price you can get better offers. And it's zinc not aluminum. Myself, i went with Melgeek's Made84 Pro due to the layout, but of course this is a great keyboard.... the only thing nowadays its that there a lot more companies doing great offers. You just need to measure your cons and pros. For me, as an owner of a modded 60HE, i don't feel this is an instant buy anymore like 60HE was ( i bought mine in March 2023 ).

I can't tell, but i really liked how they focused on giving technical details on what was the polling rate vs scan rate ( 8k vs 12 or 16K can't remember ) ... the fact that it brings TTC King of Magnectic switch, the chips they are using on the PCB and of course the layout ... and Melgeek is not a bad brand itself... lets see.

No, I think it is actually a really good design choice because it doesn't clutter the board with annoying flippy feet that is synonymous with cheap injection molded keyboards. But still provides the same utility of changing the angle.

Great video, mate! I have the Keychron Q1 HE and love it for gaming and productivity. I tried the Wooting 60HE but thought it's build quality was pretty disappointing. I'm sure the 80HE will be a hit with the Wooting devotees. I've got no regrets choosing the Keychron and recommend it highly.

Had it and sold it off. Sadly it feels absolutely cheap. Had qc issues and since wooting is so big nowadays they took forever to get back to me. By then I already had disassembled it and had to do some stuff to get it to work. After which it worked and it actually sounds alright as well. But it still felt very cheap.

​@@thebombbird3261 I have the 60He Abs case and it doesnt feel cheap. So it is not the ABS. It is something about how the case feels and looks. It is flimsy and very light. Has a lot of flex to it. Modding it like the 60He is also not as easy. It is super light weight which isn´t necessarly bad if you intend to take it somewhere. But that leads to it moving from time to time. The typing feel is a 4/10 which mostly stemms from the Lekker switches being still realy wobbly and overal not the greatest )100% get aftermarked ones). The Gascets are straight on the pcb so you can not change the case beside the ones Wooting provides or without a lot of effort. Don´t even think about what happens when they get damaged. I had one of them being squezzed inbeetween the pcb and the mounting plate which leed to inconsistent registering of some switches. The distance between Pcb and Mounting plate was a slight bit elevated on the left side, which led to my switches being slightly angled which then led to a/d/f keys to jump register inputs. Customer service took 2 1/2 weeks to respond to my claim. Then another 3 days afterwards to react to the mail where i send them the problems and if I didn´t resolve everything myself we had to have at least another email so probably 3-9 more days depending how helpfull the cusomer support feels. The Standart PBT Keycaps, forget abs ones, feel not that premium. Somehow the surface isnt as grippy and textured as good PBT keycaps but you could always get pbt aftermarket ones. Just adds a bit more costwise. Overall it feels like a cheap chinese produktion Which isn´t great. I actualy own the Pulsar PCMK 2HE and that one feels way more premium even tho it is an actuall Chinese Manufacturer. That board has its own flaws but I enjoy it more then the 80He at the moment, especially for typing. The only thing is I would take Wottility over Bibimbap every day. But: Wootility is amazing Auto Calibrating is absolutely great. The responsifness is second to none. The customer service is helpfull when they are there. So if you want the best keyboard and web based Software get a wooting Barebone change to the gateron switches and put your own keycaps. I don´t hate Wooting, quite the contrary I really love the 60He. The 80He is a great board just has some let downs. Mainly the Modding and Customization aspekt. The Gascet mounting is a big miss as well. And the lekker v1/v2´s switches are at the moment just not worth it.

As a keyboard enthusiast i dont recomend to buy the wooting 80HE plastic case 200 dollars.... and not space foam no thock quality no gasket change in term of soft nah i dont aprove the price, not even the new GMMK pro 2 with HE and mecanic switches both in the same pcb, they are overpriced for the things they offer you can have more for less, its just a cash grab at this point, great video but didnt sold me on that keyboard.

If you don't live in the USA or Asia, all these other companies are simply not an option. We're often not covered by EU law and regulations + import taxes, shitty warranty, high shipping. It's not perfect/adapted for keeb geeks, because it's a gaming keyboard, although it's the best gaming keyboard that's mildly ok for people who enjoy modding. I don't see the issue? Razer, Logitech and other gaming brands do much worse and often for a lot more....

@@houssamalucad753 Yup. Typing on a Drunkdeer rn. Returning it soon for a Wooting 80HE. Drunkdeer is the only option I could find that was somewhat reliable. It's not bad for the price either. Mine just doesn't let me save my profiles, but I've only seen 1 person post about this issue and have talked to the friendly customer service of Drunkdeer. They said it's not a known problem. Probably very rare, since everyone else seems to enjoy this perfectly good budget option.
