WOR ch 9 had the best Idents out of the 3 NYC independent channels in the mid 70s to early 80s; very cool synth sounds and graphics that caught your attention. Moog synths, Vocoders, etc.

Ah, back when stations signed off after about 2 a.m. and came back on the air at 6 or so. And when there were independent stations that showed old reruns and movies most of the time. I miss the non-Fox Metromedia WNEW, the RKO-owned WOR and the Tribune Broadcasting WPIX that wasn't affiliated with the CW. Especially things like the old Million Dollar Movie.
