Words can only hurt when you don't know and appreciate yourself, cause when someone says something you know it's not true it's easy to ignore and when they say something you already know and accept as it is or know you can't do nothing about it you can also just ignore.

Words can be emotionally harmful, yes. And that is only if YOU let them harm you. You allow those words to hold whatever amount of power over you, not the other way around. Words cannot physically harm you. Change your perspective in how you see those words, yes, but do not try to censor or police said language, because this leads to very dangerous lines of thinking. History has proven this.

I let them, but it's not like i could have depression after that, no i don't feel why people says words are the strongest weapon, i would think them weak for being hurt after a few insults, i don't think i'm strong, i take an insult as an insult but they can't hurt me

Exactly, people need to keep the stiff upper lip more often. Modern society is in a downfall from this perspective, and I still hold the firm belief that 'sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me' is a good line to live by.

The video shows the power of perception, not the power of words. Edit: solutions were pretty good though. If a girl can compete on the same level as the boys and can make the cut then let them join the team. If they can't they can't.

Only to the weak, if you start learning that it don’t matter what people tell you then words will be like paper.

I was a dancer or my whole life I danced since I was 2 but when I was 13 I asked my parents if I could do motocross as 2 of my friends did it Paulina and Jessica. My dad strait up refused and said no I couldn't do it because it is a "boy" sport. My mom told me it was to dangerous. I argued that I wear a ton of gear to stay safe on them, yet you let me do cheer leading where they threw me as high as stadium lights with two people underneath to hopefully catch me with no gear just a top and skirt. She then agreed with my dad that it was a "boy" sport and I'm a girl and can't do it. How do you do your own thing if your parents refuse to let yo do it. I was 13 I couldn't afford a bike and gear myself. I never got to do it because my parents were closed minded.
