We act as if giving is a big deal or pain to some, but when we think, we could be hungry and homeless, and without, isn't it the benevolence of God, that we have anything at all? There are 2 things to remember as a steward, (1) yes provide for your own, this is what God gives to enjoy (2) keep extra seed to invest in others in need ... ALL is the LORD's and whatever we have been given is on loan to us, till God decides to give it to the next steward in charge

Trying to SAVE one-self is like a drowning person putting their arms and hands together and hoping to become a lifesaver, pretty absurd. There is only hope in God, in Christ Jesus, no other. Would to God that He would show many like he did Elijah's unbelieving friend, how the spiritual world looks, and then many would see their deep need of Christ. Many do not know the body returns to the dust it was in the ground, and trite as that sounds, the spirit returns to God, and thus the real world isn't so much the one we can feel-taste-see-smell and touch, rather it is the invisible to the natural world, supernatural world. The whole World needs Jesus in a big way and continually.
