Agree with everything you say! I appreciate Ren for staying true to himself, he drops what he wants to and doesn't care much about what would sell or what the fans would like. So many seem to LOVE this piano piece. It's amazing to experience :)

So great to have you back ! Love your reaction as always 👍 Please check Back in 74/Message in a bottle Retake please please ! This one is something so different, with so much soul in it ! Black sisters for background vocals, one guy on the bass and Ren singing and playing guitar ! Harmonies are insane and they're playing live in one take, incredible performance and Ren's voice.... 😍 Another facet of his talent ! So good !!! I know you a little bit now and I'm sure 100% that you're gonna love it ! Hope to see you react to this one 🤞 Thanks 😘

Proper indeed. And to think he's actually self-taught in all the instruments he plays... The music just had to come out somehow :)

Ren was in the chat for the premier of this, and straight said "I wrote this for Callum, but please think of someone you may have lost while listening... this is for ALL the loved ones no longer in the physical world"

It feels very much like a reflection on a life lived and a life lost, but it was not somber.

Hearing this song at its premier I was left in sad tears and a sense that I had actually "heard" unspoken lyrics. Your reaction/insights expressed that so very well, thank you.

You said it all so well Fil. I would just add the word 'inevitability' in somewhere to your thoughts and speculations. There's inevitability in every note of this piece as though every note represents all of the steps that led to the end of Callum, to the end of their joyous shared time together, to the end of the music itself. Very beautiful.

I have missed your Ren rundowns. Thank you. This reminds me of a film score each time I hear it. Your calling Ren a composer would fit with that.
