Thank you! Driving further away in winter is a bit more difficult since days are shorter but I will probably be moving 30 minutes west in the next few months. This will open up some new areas, even Italy will be closer. We will do some longer trips then!

You need to ask other experienced travellers what they did about their microphone. This is too much wind noise. Sigis Travel Videos has a nice road rumble (my subwoofer turns it into thunder hahaha!), no wind noise.

Thank you for the feedback! I currently have a mic under the bonnet, and the sound from the phone; I try to blend these two but it seems like the wind noise from the phone is still too dominant. I'll look for new solutions, e.g. foam on the phone + lower volume of that soundtrack, or a new location for the mic and remove phone audio.
