Work Boots: nicksboots.com/shop/work-boots/
In this video, Grant attempts to explain the differences between work boots and heritage boots. Heritage boots, or casual boots, are typically designed for lighter-duty everyday wear. Nicks Heritage Boots are designed to be lighter weight without compromising durability. Work Boots are designed to hold up in the toughest conditions and that's what you'll find from Nicks Boots. Our work boots are typically taller and more rugged versions of our heritage boot models.
While most boots are meant to be thrown away after a few months, Nicks are built to last. When your boots start to need some servicing, you can send them in to have them resoled or completely rebuilt! Nicks Handmade Boots are serviceable and last years longer than a mass-produced boot. Since 1964, Nicks has been making the highest quality boots on the market, right here in Spokane Washington. If you're tired of your old work boots wearing out, upgrade to Nicks and enjoy the most comfortable boots on the market.

I have all work boots from wesco, whites, and now a pair of nicks. I work for the railroad doing track maintenance in western Washington and deal with abrasive ballest, mud, snow, and other wet slippery conditions. Forever I've been using the 100 lung soles but the last few years I have a pair of 700s and now my new pair of nicks use the 430 sole. For the most part I don't notice a big loss of traction other than in snow and really like how when I get home I'm not tracking so much mud in the house. I like having different pairs for different conditions but having options is great to find the perfect combination for your use.

@nicksboots
@nicksboots 2 жыл бұрын
We spend quite a bit of time developing different uppers and strap placements for our Tanker boot to fit you securely and comfortably and it would not make sense to go through all that R&D to create another upper and placement for a shorter boot which would not sell many models.
@TheAwesomeHomestead
@TheAwesomeHomestead 2 жыл бұрын
@Nicks Handmade Boots I literally just want straps stitched onto my builders pro. I love the look of straps but need the security of laces while I'm chasing cattle. Honestly I don't think it would need any R&D to just stitch the straps on in the same spot as the tanker. It's not as much for functionality as for the look and for lazy days when all I have to do is drop a few bales into stalls. Thanks for the response. I did buy a pair of builder pros I'm just disappointed that I can't get the look I want. That wouldn't be unreasonable for a custom boot when everything else about it is basically stock, right?

I tend to walk stiffer, and have strong preference for tall boots, sturdy soles, and protection. I would also have it noted that I am the least graceful man on my crew.

I don't mean to be rude, but do you know the first thing about online shopping? You can't blame Nicks for your own incompetence at simply looking at pictures. When you view made to order boots on their website, there are pictures explaining EVERYTHING. What different lasts look libe, different soles, etc. Granted the site could be better, but you haven't done a second of research. Leather is leather, they're all good. Soles with big lugs grip better on dirt. There are pictures of what different lasts look like.
@pianofry1138

Nicks aren't a good boot if you don't know what you're doing. They are quite expensive to be experimenting. Yes their website could use a little polishing but generally if you're educated about boots you can figure it out. You just check off what you'd like and they'll make it. They'll also guide you through the process if you have questions.
