You didn't repair the boots, you replaced them the hard way lol. Nice boots.

that was great....I want to give a shout out to the man that does the double row outsole stiching thing, looks like it came out real good on these boots. I have 2 pairs of Nicks and the stitching is perfect on both pairs. I really appreciate that attention to detail because I'm a little OCD when it comes to sloppy stitching like I've seen in less careful companies.

Put mine on to watch the video. But i agree a collab w heatstraps on the manufacturing would be awesome. I think the way Origin makes videos of their apparel is a good one to follow yourselves

I would have used saddle soap on those before conditioning them. They definitely needed a good cleaning! Otherwise, the rebuild looks amazing! You all do great work! Maybe I'd called them Nick Thorogood boots!

I've never been a fan of corduroy, even on collars and those pockets are bigger than i need or want, but its still a cool jacket. I love rough out jackets.

If you work hard variable terrain consider a high arch. If you don’t know, before you spend nicks kinda boot money, buy higher arch inserts in your current boots. Know it won’t feel the same without the heal increase but it will give you a good clue. Give it 3-4 weeks. Your foot has to stretch and get used to feeling stretched. You can get a good idea of what works for $30 bucks that way. Know that when you get a proper fitting boot and heal, it will dramatically improve the fit. Know also, the first 3-4 weeks in your new nicks will have its own issues in that the break in isn’t the most comfortable. There will come a day, where your foot will magically be formed into the boot and you will never want anything else on your feet again. Best advice from someone who has 2 pair of nicks in high arch and never thought I would wear one before.

That’s a cool jacket, I feel like your using half a cow to make that thing. It would be crazy expensive but. Brown waxed flesh version of that jacket would be crazy fancy
@dropthehammer-k3nКүн бұрын
I have a brown waxed flesh prototype version of this I picked up from Nicks at Stitchdown Bootcamp this past October. It is so good. Tough as nails. Incredible patina potential.

Where’s the closer look? The entire video is a conversation about the jacket. No close up detail. Just two people wearing the jacket while seated. Only one view and angle of the jacket. SMH 🤦♂️

Use of silicone in the leather, would it not harm the fine leather that you make with a great effort ?

Very possibly a stupid question, but how much did it cost to rebuild these boots vs. how much to buy them new, if they can be purchased? It was a pleasure to watch the great work, regardless.

Great work, but, why stitchdown instead of a Goodyear welt?
@JourneyRangerКүн бұрын
Nick's Boots primarily use stitchdown construction instead of Goodyear welt construction because it is considered more suitable for the type of heavy-duty work boots they produce. It offers better durability and flexibility in demanding environments, while a Goodyear welt might be seen as less necessary for their specific design and target market.

Beautiful looking boot👍🏻
@JourneyRanger3 күн бұрын
Rebuilds start at $339.00. So it's considerably less than a new pair of Nick's Boots that are about a few $100. So it is worth it! The upper leathers are already broken in. Rebuilding the boots extends the life of them. Cleaning and conditioning your boots every now and then will also further extend the life of the boots. Leather is skin. It needs to be taken care of. Because if you don't at all, the boots will deteriorate and not last as long as expected. Anywho, these boots look great after the rebuild! The patina looks cool! Great work Nick's Boots!

I don't understand why people choice to rebuild when the leather is aa great shape rule is 3 resoles for 1 rebuild ????? What a waste of hid good cleaning and condition the leather will look like new again NO reason to perform a Rebuild
