As a certified "Fat holy site enjoyer" I always struggle to not pick up Work Ethic I'm big on my production, and big on my religion Plus a FAT holy site can really get the ball rolling on a new city I do really enjoy Theodora for her holy sites that also give culture, but the Khmer with their food is a really good shout! I'll need to try them sometime

I just played as the Khmer for the first time yesterday and it’s OFF THE CHARTS. I was getting like 10-12 food and production from every holy site. All of the different aspects of the Khmer just work so well together. And of course, I had to build the Angkor Wat and a Wat in Angkor Wat lol.

Fun fact: "Feeling Good" is originally by Nina Simone. Thats the earliest version I know of, at any rate. Fun opinion: Michael Bublé did a great job with his cover. Very faithful to the original. Muse also has a really good version.

What a perfect game so far. Everything just flows beautifully. Work Ethic for a faster tempo in early to mid game, cross cultural dialogue to balance up the science lost from skipping campuses and the Prasat to take advantage of the high pop of Khmer and give tons of Culture. Not to mention Pingala just shines in a game where you have giga growth in the capital. Just beautiful.

Any plans for a big send off to Civ 6 before Civ 7 rolls around?
@stecon511 сағат бұрын
Quick question: is getting +1 spread on your building better than 30% off apostles and missionaries as your first pick? I might do Holy Order, then the +science per followers, then building but I’m sure it’s pretty close. Maybe because you’re building temples/prasats earlier than in some other games it makes sense to grab the building early. Just curious if anyone has a strong opinion on this.
@SD-vx6lx10 сағат бұрын
not sure if its a strong opinion but i got these average numbers after playing many religious civs. If i have less than 3 strong holy sites, i'd chose the price reduction, if i have 3 or more strong holy sites id go for the spreads or other bonuses. hope it helps.
@lordofrage311731 минут бұрын
kinda ideal game, everything works) the only problem i see, it's lack of production in distant future, because there is no really good places for industrial zones, and unfortunetly same for preserves, with godlike yields national parks.

hmm... when city states flip independent, wouldn't it make more sense if they returned to the city state status?
@Catman_CM12 сағат бұрын
Depends on whether the city state gives worthwhile bonuses. Lahore is a military CS, so Potatoe will only get a little production toward units in his capital right now, since he doesn't have any Encampments. The Nihangs would be great, though. He might end up regretting keeping it if Lautaro gets uppity while Alexander is still pestering him. Although, he could just donate Lahore to Canada and wait for it to flip independent, then liberate it. Not very useful in a pinch, but he could always go that route (also a hilarious way to really boost up a CS's trade yields by building extra districts they normally wouldn't build xD)
