Great video as always, Amy! For nutrition, I wanted to recommend the free app Cronometer. Most people use it to count calories and macros, but I like to use it to track how many vitamins and nutrients you’re getting. It was v helpful when I was first starting out healthy eating to see where my deficits were. Hope it helps!

hey girl!! loved your honesty in this video & how upfront you were about everything that's going down rn! re the health & fitness resources - my friend used collegenutritionist (she is an RD & has an insta + website) last summer and loved her! while I haven't used her plan myself, from what I know she has great resources about nutrition as well as weekly meal plans, and is geared towards nutrition/meal planning/food prep for one. Not sure if it's what you're looking for but thought I'd share in case it does end up being a good resource :)

If you want workouts, Heather Robertson has a 14 week program on youtube (it's a playlist on her channel) and I find it amazing! You don't have to really think about your workouts, and it's a good mix of hit, fully body, and isolation workouts! I found I wasn't really getting any progress, but I have seen some after following her workout program!

hey amy! i had a similar problem w fitness/nutrition. my freshman 15 became a freshman 25, and i tried exercising more & eating more healthy but nothing really worked and i didnt see results which got super discouraging. so i started intermittent fasting (16/8) im sure you’ve read about it before, but ive been at it for 3 months now and am down 10 pounds!! i havent really exercised bc strain on my back, but i’ve seen that intermittent fasting still works for me and my metabolism is faster! just a suggestion - good luck ☺️

I saw this mentioned in another comment but I am also a big fan of intermittent fasting. I don't necessarily do it for weight loss but have seen a lot of internal healing (generally feeling more awake, brighter complexion, chronic pain symptoms going away, etc.). The whole focus of the lifestyle is on listening to your body and your personal hunger cues, rather than crash dieting, and it's rooted in a lot of scientific evidence. It's really flexible and I couldn't recommend it more. To get the basics, I would look into "Delay, Don't Deny" by Gin Stephens.

Tone it up sells a nutrition plan that is actually so helpful!! They detail everything you need to know about macros and protein and calories but they’re also super realistic about not going on “diets” but focus on ways to change your eating habits permanently. Also their workout app is incredible

For nutrition and fitness info, I really like natacha oceane if you haven't seen her videos yet! She completely changed my views on nutrition and fitness in general and is one of the main youtubers (that I've come across) who talks about health and fitness progress in a very healthy and productive way. She also takes a lot of effort to base the information she puts out on science (she even has a phD). I studied nutrition and struggled with falling into a lot of misinformation about health/fitness before that. But I definitely appreciate the honesty and info in her videos :)

I’m not sure if this would be helpful at all, but Amanda Sevilla here on youtube & instagram is a registered dietitian and is always posting little tidbits about what certain foods do for you. I think she has some sort of food education program but I’m pretty sure it’s plant based, so again not sure if that’s helpful/something you’re looking for. Good luck! Trying to stay healthy is such a pain lol. Love the vlogs as always :)

I’ve done a few courses on edX on Food and Nutrition and would definitely recommend them. You can choose a specific topic, most are free, self-paced, very informative and offer the possibility to ask questions to a professional nutritionist alone the way. Having struggled with the same issue of not really understanding much about nutrition, they certainly helped a lot. Hope you find value in them too! :)

Just randomly speaking. It seems your body may be at a comfortable plateau. I mean you are already small. some people have a fasting window. and eat more plant based. And you also have to be at a calorie deficiet to loose. Two ways eat less and exercise more. like walking 10,000-15,000 steps a day to loose. Less to just maintain your weight. And if you just want to define your body incorporate weights and do more like sculpting or body building. A tip. the more carbs you eat the more carbs you crave. But girl you look great. dont stress.

Hi Amy! I'm actually the same age & live in Arlington. I felt the same way at the start of the year about nutrition. I was working out and eating what I thought was healthy, but only gaining weight! I decided to go on weightwatchers to learn more about nutrition and what to eat. I would highly recommend it even if you aren't looking to lose weight and just want to learn what foods to eat. You could easily follow the principles of the program without actually paying for the membership. I really enjoy it because there are so many foods that you can eat as much of as you want (whole wheat pasta, eggs, chicken, seafood, etc.). As long as you are mainly sticking to those foods there's not need to weigh out your food. Anyway, I'd highly recommend looking into it and let me know if you have any questions! I catalog my health journey on my insta @losingthefupa if you also needed recipe ideas or if you had any further questions.

regarding nutrition, I would highly highly recommend Pick Up Limes here on youtube! she's an RD and plant-based, but she doesn't push this way of eating, just gives information on the most nutritious foods and how can we improve our relationship with it, all very approachable and flexible! i'd recommend to check out her e.g. "plate method" video (kzbin.info/www/bejne/g2mqmYqdrpqalZo) where she talks about how to make sure that with every meal you get enough protein, wholesome carbs and nutrients etc. She seems like a very nice and radiant and non-judgemental person in general :)
