Here's one of my famous review and comparisons of a wide variety of different work gloves just so people can start again idea of just how many gloves are are and all the specific types of work applications.

Hardy breathable mesh goatskin gloves for $10. I've been working with em running 1" EMT. Tightening compression fittings. Using small fasteners. Two pairs of slip joint pliers simultaneously. Manual dexterity was still good. Those black PVC ones leave black fuzz under the fingernails instantly. My hands stay good with decent gloves

I like how mechanix gloves are for tactitards and latex gloves are for mechanics.

Maxi flex gloves are #1 in my opinion. You can grab a handful of chanfer nails and still sort them out between you fingers. They are rugged enough for stripping shotcrete covered scaffold and really roughed up scaffold planks. Very good grip for climbing up efco wall/column formes and aluma system shoring.

Thanks for this informative video. What are the best kinds of gloves that you recommend for doing small-project DIY construction? I am building a small shed and I would like something that gives my fingers a lot of dexterity for any fine motor movement and won't get caught in the cutting edge of some power tool but still afford good protection. All of those leather-like gloves seem too large for finer work but maybe they're geared for only when you fire up a power tool? Obviously good grip is an important factor too. maybe similar to Mechanix gloves but with a lot more flexibility. I have a pack of what I think are PVC-dipped light gloves that were pretty cheap at The Home Depot (like $12 for 10 pairs). Not sure if those are best-geared for the type of work I mentioned.. I was just using my bare hands but I think I need protection to be more safe.

We end up using nitrile foam dipped gloves. Just about everything except arc-stick welding where we use Tillman leathers

The cheap Harbor Freight leather gloves never wear out. The stitching fails while they still look new.

What gloves would you recommend for opening cardboard boxes ? I work a stocking job and I use latex gloves but they don't last. They end up ripping

@@jonhernandez4571 i worked a trash compactor and when you handle all that cardboard it drys out your hands and gloves help a lot

that depends. some of my employers would provide the gloves. and you could request a new pair every few days to maybe every week. and i would always store away a good couple pairs of gloves.
