The David Brown Selectamatic 880 was a highly regarded tractor produced by David Brown Ltd. from 1950s to 1971.
It was known for its innovative Selectamatic hydraulic system, which allowed the operator to adjust the depth and draft of the implement from the driver's seat.
Made in the UK, beside Huddersfield.A sought after machine praised for its reliability and design. A great work horse.

Won’t Sell It To Me. Because He Says. The Best & Most Fuel Efficient Tractor 🚜 Ever. Fond Memories of the Nest I Flew Out Of.

Yes that David Brown still in use here. You should see the new modern tractors here crashing through the Irish byroads. Huge ! But the Brown is the best !!

Hi. Sorry but the Selectamatic serie came out at the end of 1965. Those were built until 1971. There were over 33K units done of that particular model in Huddersfield mills England. You're right about them : they are work horse. I own one completely restored. It's a 1967 model with the original front shovel that was coming as an option then. Besides the electric starter and the lights, everything on that tractor is mechanical. No electronics. That's why they still exist today.

Good tractor pity you hadn't the 12 speed box on 3 gear levers, plus i think shes 1966 not 56,, cus she the newer white selectamatic not the red implamatic
