Nice job. I like the precision of your work. I'm working on a recreation at the moment too. Not a SAW track (big fan of them) but PSB and of the same era: kzbin.info/www/bejne/l6mynYCsg5hpeMU

Wow I'm so flattered someone like you think my work is precise. Your recreation of West end girl is out of this world. And I started it too a while ago but still a work in progress so I'm the best judge on how this is a difficult track. Maybe you would like to hear my intro haha. I'd die for that multitrack of yours and especially knowing which presets you used.

I'm a SAW fan. I could do with some assistance trying to decode the bassline and other layers in Samantha Fox - Nothing gonna stop me now.

I love that song too. I think that song uses the 2 bass presets from the dx7 but I need to try to be sure

@@Angelman60 I've been checking out your channel. You do some good recreations. I've done a few myself but they are on soundcloud if you wanna have a listen.

Did you know there's a sysex dump floating around the net of the SAW DX7 bass patches? They're minor variations on the bass factory preset for the DX7. So you also could take the factory preset and tweak it too. The entire track sounds very heavily DX in the instrument choice. In fact, I don't hear any analogs synths in there at all. It's possible there's some PPG Wave in there too. It's a very digital sounding track.

@Alex-bc7qi yeah I have something like that but I think it's fake or maybe I have the wrong one lol. But I think bass2 is the right preset for that track. Its all the other sounds that are hard to find. They do sound like dx7 but are not. I havent tried with the ppg yet I could give it a go
