Happy Sunday, my loves! I feel like this was the most eventful week I've had since having Max... hope you're ready for all 30 minutes of this vlog 🙌
This week I went to a meditation retreat with my Valeria Inc. girls, did some fun activities with Jake and Ben, had some exciting work meetings with Gary, and spent lots of time with baby Max. Work has been getting busier and busier, so juggling everything on my plate has been an interesting challenge. I opened up a little about how I've been handling things and what I've been feeling as a new mom - I hope some of you ladies out there can relate and I would love to hear about your experiences too ❤️

As a grown up now i wish my mom would have put herself first when my sisters and i were little every once in a while, instead she used the time we were sleeping to juggle house chores and besides that her fulltime job. Now we're older so she can have more naps and it's a huge difference in her mood. I'm glad you're making the healthy decision of giving yourself a break when you need it :)

For example, women tend to avoid to discuss vaginal tearing and other complications after giving birth. It would be very interesting in my opinion. Hey hey, I'm a midwife from belgium and what I can definitely recommend is to train your pelvic floor muscles. The main functions of the pelvic floor muscles include bladder and bowel control; supporting the growing weight of the fetus during pregnancy; facilitating the birthing process, ... + it can certainly have a positive impact on your sexual intercourse. A lot of exercises and information can be found on the internet. You can train the muscles best before the pregnancy and certainly after the delivery. Many women do not know the importance of it and I hope that this information has helped you a bit :)

Just imagine the mom's who dont have help, dont have a nanny or a night nurse...what a luxury to have that. I know it must be hard, but you have a pretty wonderful life. Not saying that you said the opposit but in times where things get hard, I like to remind myself how lucky I am. Because there are people in the world who have it waaaay harder than you.

Absolutely. I never said that I had it any harder than other people. But just because others may have a more difficult experience does not mean that my feelings aren’t valid ❤️ Many people who don’t have a night nurse to help have family or other support systems in place, or they don’t go back to work immediately after giving birth.

Meditation retreat was legit! 💕 Thanks for getting real on being a mom, working and being overwhelmed. It’s such a normal part of life, so try not to be too hard on yourself (easier said than done). I know, what it’s like for things to pile on top of each other. Being pregnant for the first time, getting ready to move to another country and the transition for all these great things are stressing me out. It’s hard because when you’re life is changing, you notice people treat you differently. It hit close to home when you talked about making sure you have the right support system. So important.

Being an Aussie, I knew the 'answer' was going to be Sydney, instead of Canberra. Don't worry, so many people get that one wrong.The most exciting thing is watching your channel grow so fast. It has grown by 11,000 subscribers since I joined!!!PS. All parents (if able) should take time out for themselves and to rejuvenate - we always look after our nieces and nephews to give their parents a break. It should not be frowned upon at all!

They obviously care about their family and try to spend as much time as they can while still working and taking care of themselves (e.g. going to Happy Place, Halloween, etc.). Having a nanny is not going to make her relationship with her sons less personal; it just gives her time to do everything she needs to do. It would be very different if she completely dismissed her kids and just left the nanny to do everything; that would make her relationship with her kids a negative one. But she's not doing that. In fact, by having a nanny, she is able to keep her sanity (by doing simple things like getting enough sleep, or go to lunch with her brother), and she is also able to thrive in her business which would later inspire her children to be dreamers and hardworking people. She is not solely defined by her role as a parent (like Gary mentioned) PS. sorry if this message came out a little bit strong; I just got really into it because I know what it's like to grow up with a nanny and I don't think that affected my relationship with my parents.

Oh dear..I could feel how overwhelming it must be. You are doing so so well Valeria with so much on your plate. Meditation will be great even if just 5 minutes a day but if you feel like you don't have time for that, don't be too hard on yourself, just breathe while you cook and find "meditation" in daily mundane activities. I LOVE newborns! They are my favorite. Love them. I remember busy. I birthed 5 children, wrote several books (6) before it was something everyone does, was running my own magazine, jumping on a plane every Friday to speak all over the USA, Canada, and Korea, had a regular newspaper column to write, homeschooled my 5 children while being always pregnant and/or breastfeeding. Entertaining toddlers while teaching algebra-that’s a challenge. My first 3 books are translated into Portuguese and Korean and hopefully into Spanish soon. Running my own business, keynote speaker nearly every weekend of the year while cleaning and cooking. I remember busy. You’ll NEVER regret these days. You’ll NEVER look back and say, “Crum, what a waste!” Instead you’ll find yourself thinking I’d pay 10,000 dollars to have an hour of that again today. Book plug, for all audiences, you’ll like, “No One Ever Asked Me That” my 4th of 6 books, NOT about homeschooling, very, very interesting, took 12 years of my life. My youngest was not even in grade one yet when I started and was off to college as I finished. If you ever homeschool your children you’ll want to move me in for a week and get you started, or read both of my first 2 books. All about having your children LOVE learning, Mom has fun too, (instead of hating it) and the kids get a superior education because they get to include poetry, museums, art, classical music and classic books, be outside in nature sketching what they see, and cover all the regular subjects too. As busy as I was I wouldn’t trade my life. I learned at least 3-5 new things a day while teaching my kids and again let me say, I LOVE NEWBORNS! They are easy. Either they are hungry, thirsty, wet, poopy, or just want to be walked and cuddled. So easy. Much easier than teenagers. And I love your children. They are beautiful and talented and smart and funny!!

HI Valeria! Thanks for showing us it is possible to run your business with a newborn. I am 27wks pregnant and own my own business with my husband, i plan to get straight back into work as soon as i can, but also want to spend as much time with my baby and enjoy the newborn phase. I am constantly told going back to work will not be easy and I will struggle to leave my baby. While we are very lucky in Australia to have government paid maternity leave, leaving your business to operate without you is not really the smartest option. You have made me more confident I can still manage being a good mum and a boss.

I get it. Im a mom of a 1 year 5 months girl and it is exhausting when you have to do so much stuff per day and you sleep so little! It is obvious anyone want to cry of being exhausted and frustrated and so psysically tired. So i really love watch your vlogs, because they are so real 🍀

Gary is the best, just the best, you two are so lucky ♥ Max is so awake! looking everything with those big eyes of him! Benny is so energetic, he is in that age that wants all the attention, good thing you are so patient! i remember i was so happy when my nephew finally ended that phase xD and Jakey is always taking care of others and so independent, kids really grow fast :') Thanks for sharing your beautiful family ♥
