@@mohammedmunabbaralam4797 I used to live in Dubai as well living here for the last 25 years, brother, don't do it, you will not be happy, if you go to the United States you are better off than coming here especially to a negative city like Toronto, of you have no connection or know people or you are not somebody's favorite you won't be able to have a good paying job plus life is crazy expensive even comparing to other places in Canada like Montreal for example. Income tax sales tax will leave you with almost nothing at the end of the month, women are very rude and unfriendly not even similar to things you see in movies.

@@mohammedmunabbaralam4797 don't listen to the other person who said that coming to Toronto is not worth it. If you have a passion to work and live here, do it. Don't think about anything. If you are worried about the people here, they are not rude at all. We all have different encounter with different people. Just because some Canadians behaved rudely with you doesn't mean the whole Canadians are rude and useless. I'm a law student at University of Toronto and I just came from Delhi 2 years ago and trust me when I say this, I made many good friends here and the teachers here are even nicer than most people in India. I just watched many videos about how Canadians moved to Germany or Europe in general. Because the work life balance is way better, you got much more vacation leave, maternity leave and not as much work as in American countries. Also, Americans like the pace of life in Europe. As I saw that you feeling exhausted and drained by the American lifestyle and love the small quiet relaxing little things, I really recommend you to looking for European countries. At least for vacation or so. Nice video.

To my fellow commuters, this video is spot on in terms of reality. I’m here to tell you it does get better: But not before it forces you to create better and more productive habits. I live in MD and have been commuting to DC for the past 16 years! Started at 16 and I’ll be 32 this year. The best things you can do are create a routine, make time for yourself (bible on the train is wonderful), and maximize your evenings and weekends (meal prep). But also PLEASE, enjoy whatever city you’re in! Mix and mingle and enjoy your Happy Hours and shows and anything else that your city has to offer! **Obviously very Pre Covid memories!!!

Thank you for putting this out there It feels good to know you're not alone, and that life isn't as glamorous as people try to glamourize it. I've graduated college during the pandemic, I'm currently at my lowest at all levels, i don't feel like myself, i didn't find a job yet, and my stress level is constantly higher than normal. I know this won't last forever. But for now, I'm trying to know that it's normal to feel this during such time. Thank you for your reassurance. And for this, I'm truly grateful 🙏
@lattesdarling3 жыл бұрын
you are def NOT alone!! I feel that, we tend to only see people's achievements but we forget how hard they worked and FAILED before then (something I'm constantly forgetting when comparing!!). Congrats on graduating!! I completely feel you so much!! I graduated in 2019 and it took me 6 months to find a job (for some, way longer, it's so tough out there!!). The pressure you put yourself through is like unexplainably high. I completely put all my value into getting a job (it's so hard not to!) I also finished that internship in December and have been job hunting for 3 months before just starting a new job last week, so I FEEL YOU! It's hard not to feel empty and drained and sad, but you're right, it won't last forever! I actually wrote a little honest piece of what it feels like looking for a job and am hoping to turn that into a video, because it's honestly something a lot of people don't talk about! But it's honestly something I continue to learn even after getting a job. Employment does NOT equal self-worth!! This video really helped me with that!: kzbin.info/www/bejne/f3bLpZeeqat3abs Stay strong, you are NOT alone!!!🤗 You GOT this, I'm ROOTING for you!!!❤

Isn’t it ironic how I live in downtown and still have to wake up at 5:30 bc my 9-5 (well, actually 8-5) is NOT in downtown and I have to commute elsewhere 😑 hahaha love your video! you’re the sweetest 🥰

Rude and mean people everywhere who walk on your heals, toss their garbage everywhere and it stinks like crap… do you just ignore all of that? How does it elevate your mood? Lol what a joke

Omg I thought it’s just me to feel this type a way “everything is new and Adulthood dose really slap you straight right in the face with cold hearted reality” 💔 well I’m still waiting and hoping to get a good job in this summer hopefully 🤞🏻

Great video ! This is the most realistic 9-5 routine I ever watched on KZbin. When I graduated, I found myself with that reality of waking up way early, running and running to the bus everyday ( doing my everyday cardio like you ) and getting to the office when it’s dark and leaving the office at 5pm when it’s dark again. Like you said, I started asking myself why no one ever told us this, that u spend most of your time at work and never seeing the day in winter and getting home , I would be already tired and wanting to sleep so I can wake up early tomorrow. I couldn’t agree more with what you said , everything was similar for me too.

Thank you so much girl, your words are too kind!! I guess it’s a similar struggle for a lot of people, that weird transition from school to work life, it’s super hard!!! It’s so true no one really prepares you for it😭 Hope it’s better for you now and you’re able to enjoy it a little more!!🤗❤️

Ohhh they changed the design of the Presto card! I like that one a lot better than the green one. I haven't taken the Go Train since my Film School days (2013-2015) on the regular. I do not miss those days of going into Union Station while the construction was going on! UGH. I'm glad I work from home now lol.

Just found this video so randomly! I was an International student living in Scarborough and it took me 2 hours as well going from there to downtown TO to my school...it was in 2000 so no smart phones or internet on phone and I was so poor because my parents paid for my schooling but the tuition was double!! It was a very hard 4 years in Canada altogether. People were polite but it was very hard to break through that barrier to go deeper into friendships. Now I am in the US and I think its a little easier here because of the warmer weather where I am but I still have fond memories of some of the friends I made there.. but its a very harsh life if you're not rich.

I'm Canadian and have just lived in the US for the last 4.5 years. I strongly disagree with your statement about that building friendships in the US is easier! No way! It depends on where you live...if you are living in a smaller town like Richmond, Virginia, I would say "Yes". Toronto is a big city like every other big city, but the people are indeed nicer.
