I understand your frustrations, Nades! Thank you for your honesty. All that you are feeling are valid. I am a communications graduate myself, currently working at a start up company. And tbh, before, I never thought I'd be in this line of job. Haha. I understand that sometimes, we get affected by the standards set by this world. We get pressured by people's expectations. But I believe that aside from our careers, God has called us for something greater. He has given us a more valuable purpose than what we do for a living. What I mean is, our jobs aren't the be all and end all of our lives! And that somehow reassures me that though I am not a doctor or an engineer or something, God can still do great things in and through me. God placed me here and is blessing me here. Perhaps, He has a plan that's why He didn't make me one with a "glorious" profession like others might perceive. It gives me the assurance that I can still do things that are of eternal value as I continue to honor Him in this season and bloom where He has planted me. I learned the hard way to not allow other people's comments steal my joy and security as I do what God has called me to do. I hope this encourages you, dear; as you have always encouraged me through your works.

I’m 31 married with no kids yet - and just started exploring my passions and the things that bring joy to me. I was a work horse since I graduated (at 20) and now finally decided to take a break from work and really connect with myself to find my purpose. I guess I just want to tell you that it’s ok to think about your future but still enjoy the now. You’ve got time girl actually a lot of it! So explore and expand. Find things that challenges you and would push you to grow. God has your back!

i love chill chatty vlogs like this!! i relate somehow. it stresses me how i would prefer taking jobs in the creative field (i'm just about to enter shs lol) and i feel like people around me would think that it's not contributing much at all compared to other jobs and that it's a risk for stability. but what i always remind myself despite others' opinions is that we have different paths and we make the most out of what we have. keep doing you, nades!! we're here for you. 💛

Hey nades! Yaaasss to chatty vids. I love this kind of content its like having a heart to heart talk with a close friend. Girl im turning 28 this year and working for 8 years now is still feels so weird (lol), confusing and tiring but things become easy because of the people you work with and the things/skills you learn in that job. Also what makes me like working is when i get to save some money and build my emergency funds.

I LOVE THESE KINDS OF VIDEOS FROM YOU NADINE OMG. I can relate so much about the pressure that we put in ourselves having been given a 'privileged' life by our parents. The thought of having to earn a decent amount of money to sustain myself (so I won't be a 'burden') na drives me nuts. But let us enjoy the process of life. I believe everything will soon fall into their proper places. Love you here's a purple heart for you from a co-army 💜

I think every job you can make a difference, especially if you love it, because no matter even if you WERE a doctor, if you hated your job you wouldn't be a very god example of help to anyone you know? Happy graduation! :) do take a bit of time off to rest hehe but when picking your first job, do consider the work environment / check out the people who also work there! I can somewhat relate. I just turned 23 and I've been working for 3 years now and I keep on asking myself "OMG I'm already 23 but I haven't achieve yet my savings goal, still confused with what career path should I really go through, how can earn more money etc. But then again when I chat about this kind of thoughts to my older peers what they always tell me is that "Seriously Ren, you're just 23 don't be too hard on yourself" basically they're just telling me that I don't need to Rush things, that we have our own timelines and just try to minimize how I compare my life to others. I guess what we're experiencing is quarter life crisis even tho we're not yet 25 haha 😂

Hi Ate Nades! The trolley problem is familiar to me because it was also discussed in "The Good Place" by one of the characters! It's a pretty good series. You should watch it because it also enlightens the viewers about morality, ethics and philosophy :) Another thoughts about jobs and all that. I just graduated with a premed course and will be pursuing med after I take a gap year. I know that there are stereotypes especially among our Asian parents that being a doctor or an engineer will give you a stable lifestyle, but I think there's no such thing as "when you become a doctor, you will automatically become successful" there are still cons to becoming one because you'll have to go through another 4 or 5 years in med school and then 2-3 years residency. Afterwards it doesn't really guarantee you to have a stable financial status. All I'm saying is that I think when you love what you're doing, it gives your heart and mind the satisfaction already. Don't ever think that you are "just" a marketer because every single person in this world, whether you're a businessman or a doctor, has their purpose as long as they do it according to God's plans. It may seem that saving lives is much bigger than selling goods etc. but is life really about comparing about what others have that you don't? or that she is better than me because she is a doctor and I'm just a marketer? This is way too long but don't worry too much ate nades :) Good luck with everything :)

Yaas i love good place so much!! I watched it after college na and it was such a nice refresher for all the stuff i learned 😂 Yes! Totally agree on how honestly, nothing in life promises stability. Its really upto the person. I just have some struggle minsan accepting on society’s judgment on “more important” jobs. Every job is sooo important!! Yes! It boils down to enjoying the journey / ride of life.

Hi ate nades, I think I sort of relate to this but on a different note. I used to work in a quick-service resto here in the philippines where I was working in the operations management team, it's quite popular and a big company. And it really burnt me out, and thought of chasing the wrong dream. Every time I go home, I just couldn't find any reason why I should stay in this kind of work, it felt like I was meant for something greater, that I deserved a greater purpose. And it made me rekindled an almost lost but found hope of a dream I used to have as a kid. I dreamed of saving lives, healing people, I wanted to become a doctor. But before, we weren't really rich and I thought - with what we had, we couldn't really afford it. However just last month after months of deep self-assessment, I have officially handed my resignation letter effective 1 moth after (which was last May 31). I am all thankful that my parents have supported me taking this major leap in my career and in my life, and just recently I have enrolled myself on a medical course I used to just dream about -- Nursing. It would take more years again and more money for pre-med, med school and all the medical practices I sure need to go for, but I know it will all be worth it. This is the path I have diverted to, and would love to go through even further, but I am more into seeing my purpose clearly now. Please make more of these kinds of videos, Thank you ate nades
