🌪 I live in base. Tornadoes are rare here in the Northeast 😁. Good thing is that at JFK/LGA, it's pretty easy to get to at any time. Good points on keeping busy during probation and reserve. I tell new hires the same thing. I don't risk much, just show up when called. Too much traffic to just leave, and sometimes KCM is down, or we get randomed, so it isn't worth it to try and come back. Short Call Reserve we have 2:45 to report. Airport StandBy we have 10-15 minutes to be at the gate.

I 🌪️🌪️🌪️. Ms P, Very good advice. I remember an earthquake in 1994, and being in computers, I needed to go in. And aftershocks were happening. So I did it. Traffic lights out some overpasses down, a real chaos time. Herman

Tornado!?!? .... In all sincerity, best wishes to you and your family members. I have enjoyed flying as a passenger for over 55 years; but I had not realized - admittedly not until recently - how incredibly lonely that job can be. So much fondness headed your way for the way you present here and as you likely do on duty, as well. Just a superb job.

Do you think that AA admin is watching your videos including this one in particular - although it so happens that tornados is an act of God excuse?

thugging it out in a natural catastrophe is crazy lol but crew support don’t care 😅

Crew support calls from a different state, they never know what’s going on in Texas unless we tell them 🙃

🌪️I’ve definitely had to miss work because of Mother Nature. I’ve been caught in a blizzard more than once..the road had drifted shut or I’ve been just stuck in my driveway or the roads were pure ice. I’m not an FA, I work in the Operating Room… Luckily I’ve never been in trouble

Operating room?! Woahh, that sounds intense 🤯

@@realpristine it definitely can be stressful, I’ve been doing it for 21 years now so I’m used to the environment. I’ve seen a lot of crazy and interesting things!! I’ve spent most of my career assisting in spine and brain surgery 😬
