Spending the afternoon with you! I love the fact that you say “and now it’s time to have a think about life…”. So I put down my brush and take a sip of tea and take a deep breath and do exactly as instructed.😊

I enjoyed seeing the Meedan easels. Well done with American landscape. Some of your dark areas reminded me of the shadow of a passing clouds and the whole, of family driving trips. I probably would have painted a little asphalt at the bottom edge for the highway.

Thank you Diane! I really enjoyed seeing this landscape. I have a few landscapes I have attempted and gave once I started ruining the foreground. I’m ok painting the sky and background. Hopefully trying this painting will give me some confidence. Maybe I’ll take a go at the fall painting you did recently, too. The trees and reflection were beautiful! ❤

Hi Diane! This was great and I loved seeing lovely you in the beginning! Thank you for a beautiful landscape and the instruction about the sky reminded me to use burnt sienna for the grey in the clouds. Michael Harding paints look wonderful. I want to invest in some but I wonder if they are better than Kuretake ones?😊❤
@DianeAntoneStudio8 күн бұрын
Hi Jeannie, thanks so much for your comment and for your recent purchase! Your paintings are on their way to you as we speak! Yes the Michael Harding paints are very nice to paint with. I would say they are the best watercolours I’ve been privileged to own. I think they are better in many ways than Kuretake paints although they are also very good… I always find it amazing how burnt Sienna and ultramarine together make such lovely greys!

Joints are called dove tails.
@DianeAntoneStudio8 күн бұрын
I looked it up after I’ve done the video and found that they are not dovetails, and they aren’t tongue and groove either which I already knew but the name for them is amazingly box joints! Designed for joining the corners of boxes. Who would’ve thought it!
@pauline33798 күн бұрын
@@DianeAntoneStudioYes, dove tail joints are trapezoidal and don't need glue, box joints are rectangular and need glue 😊 Love the landscape painting Diane, its beautiful 😍
