@@333333joshuaYou're right. He was a pussy. Women already have pussies; they don't need another. There is a way to be a good father and not a doormat. This guy (good as he is, no hate) was happy to be such and when he actually spoke on his feelings, it was too late. This is a lesson to everyone: keep communication open and strong at every step. Don't wait until it is "too little too late." I'm not making excuses for the wife either; love is a two way street. Make yourself lovable to your wife; wives make yourselves lovable to your husbands.

@@Dustin81 It is in a way. We are human but we are animals, if you turn your back to a tiger or any predatory animal it will attack you thinking you are prey, same with humans. If you let someone disrespect you, guess what, they will start disrespecting you, you cannot mix love and respect with disrespect, it just doesn't mix. He needed to be a good husband but retain his self respect and self. If you are spoiling the person and receiving abuse from them consciously and unconsciously they think they are better and as if they are settling for you. Mostly women will feel out of love from you, they will not feel frisky about you, their innards won't tremble and feel hot when around you, they won't want you filling them (i've described what women feel when they are aroused).

To all spouses going through something of this nature: Cameras, cameras, cameras! Set up cameras in every common area BUT keep them hidden. A month or two of video showing that your spouse does NOTHING to improve the household goes over awesomely in any confrontation. You can SAY anything you want and it will just be “he said, she said.” Stop being stupid and load up on cameras. Consider it a part of your exit strategy.

I`m going to call it : she was cheating on him the entire time most likely. He was working, doing house-chores and taking care of the kids and she as a stay at home mother was doing WHAT exactly? Then she had the gall to tell him that she felt tired? Problem is that OP taught her that its ok for her to act like that since he never set his foot down and actually asked her to damn contribute to the household and the family. What you encourage grows and you encourage what you tolerate ...I hope he ends up better in the end and I hope he learns his lesson and that he never accepts half assed behavior like this from a life partner... At 18, the daughter will stay with/marry a boy who cheats on/mistreats/abuses her, mentally/emotionally verbally and physically, to the point of where cops and EMTs show up at the door, fall pregnant in her abusive relationship, then, flee to another state, stay at a women's shelter, until she finds an apartment, and have to prepare for her new life as a single mother. But sadly, the son and daughter will lose contact with OP, and their kids will never get to know their grandfather.💔⚠️

But sadly, they'll lose contact with OP, their kids will never get to know their grandfather, nor, will they grow up with each other. Plus, instead of getting excited about entering the dating pool, just like OP is, the son and daughter will need to concentrate on getting therapy for themselves, and creating stable home environments for their kids as good single parents.💔⚠️

Marriage is a partnership. Even if OP is shouldering 💯 of the effort and upkeep of the marriage, it won't last without effort on the spouse's side. Wife said she didn't love him anymore. Honestly, listening to how OP described her, I don't think she ever truly loved him. If this is how she is gonna be in every relationship going forward, they'll always crash and burn. I think a lot of people get married and pursue kids and families because they think that's expected of them. If you aren't able to picture yourself being married or being a parent right up to your last breath, then just don't do it. You're making lifelong commitments and those only last if you're willing to put in the effort to make them work. I think OP's wife will be happier just being alone until she is willing to fix whatever she has going on in her life.

Unfortunately, this is what happens when you have a relationship based only on provision and not mutual attraction. You can do everything for someone, but attraction isn't predicated on doing something, it is derived from BEING someone who is worthy to be attracted to. You cannot force people to like you, you can force them to only pretend to. Women do not like slaves that cannot break out of their own chains.
